Went at night. Didn’t know that you can’t fly drone here. There should some kind of board in English. A guard came and snatched my drone He was super aggressive. His colleague who could speak English easily super nice. Apparently, angry Guard had thought I was Turkish but when he realized I was Japanese citizen with Indian ethnicity, his demeanor changed.

The original Armenian modernism is a monumental composition with many signs and meanings. Magnificent and majestic. The museum: a well-constructed composition, chapter by chapter, gradually immerses the visitor of the museum in the horror and nightmare of what happened.

It offers a magnificent view of the city and Ararat, if the latter is visible)
It is also worth going to the museum and at least read a little history slides.
Great respect to the Armenian people, such a small country that has experienced so many troubles and kicks of fate and yet remains a cheerful, friendly and sincere people!

I give you 3 stars because I didn't like Tsitsernakaberd Park, which you pass through from the sports and concert hall to the memorial. More precisely, his condition. There are broken tiles in some places, plants that are not trimmed or well-groomed, long and already dry grass has sprouted through the tiles, and dry leaves are not being swept out. By the thick layer of leaves and sprouted grass, it's easy to tell that the park hasn't seen care in a sooo long time. There is a monument to a mother and child in it. It's strange that such a place is in such a neglected state! The memorial itself is clean.

It's a pretty atmospheric place on top of a hill, with a tall stele in the center of the sculpture group. There is also a museum, there is a parking lot. Impressive.

The Tsitsernakaberd Citadel in Yerevan is a sacred place of memory and pride for the Armenian people. A visit to this historical fortress leaves an unforgettable impression of the rich and complex history of Armenia. Tsitsernakaberd is a symbol of the spiritual strength and unity of the Armenian people, and I highly recommend visiting this historical place to pay tribute and learn more about the rich heritage of the country.

Tsitsernakakbert is a place that cannot be avoided. This memorial is a symbol of sorrow and memory of all Armenians who survived tragic events in the history of our people.
A visit to Tsitsernakakbert is not just an excursion, it is a deep dive into history that evokes strong emotions and makes you think about the meaning of memory and justice. The architecture of the memorial impresses with its grandeur and austerity, and the surrounding landscape creates an atmosphere of deep sorrow and respect.
I strongly recommend everyone to visit this place. It should definitely be on the list of those who want to understand and experience Armenian culture and history. Tsitsernakakbert is not only a memorial, but also a reminder of the importance of preserving the memory of those who did not live to this day.

It's a very emotionally difficult place. It's beautiful, but behind the beauty lies grief and horror. Those who are not familiar with the history of the Armenian people should visit in order to understand what this people has experienced.I got into it. Admission is free, you can take a paid tour.

A beautiful park, a majestic memorial that gives you the creeps, an interesting and informative museum on site and a stunning view of Mount Ararat.
Every Armenian who arrives in Armenia must first of all visit this place and honor the memory of the ancestors who were killed by the Turks during the Armenian Genocide in 1915. Every tourist should visit this place to remember that such terrible and tragic events of the past should not be repeated in the future.

We were at the memorial on April 25, 2023, the day after the Armenian Genocide Memorial Day. Everything was covered with wreaths of fresh flowers. We went down to the eternal flame. We came at night, and it was very beautiful, there was something powerful and ancient in this place - the spirit of the Armenian people and their attitude to their history were felt.

The complex itself is located below ground level and descends into the mountain. There are a lot of materials, photos, a lot of new information for me, which was not told in history. Everything is written in Russian. You will learn the history of Armenia from an unknown side. It is a matter of respect that Armenians are trying to preserve their history, trying to convey to the world the unpleasant and inconvenient truth about genocide and atrocities, and remember and honor the dead.

A special place in Yerevan is the memorial and museum of the memory of hundreds of thousands of the Armenian Genocide of the early twentieth century (the peak of the massacres occurred in 1915). A tragedy little known in Russia.
The stele is divided into two parts - in memory of the part of Armenia located on the territory of Turkey, where the Armenian population was either exterminated or expelled. The Eternal Flame is surrounded by tilted slabs in memory of the regions in Western Armenia where the genocide took place. The Museum tells about the fate of many figures of Armenian culture and science who became victims of the genocide. The bookstore has a lot of materials on the history of Armenia in different languages.

Tsitsernakaberd is the name of a hill that has become sacred to the locals. In 1967, a memorial to the victims of the Armenian Genocide appeared here. Twelve stone slabs and a 44-meter stele symbolize the unity of the people. Next to the memorial there is a museum with photographs and descriptions of terrible events.

The place is beautiful, with its sad history, it's a pity that it has become so unkempt, yellowed, somehow abandoned... even if the flower bed was lit, sad music was not heard this time, but it creates a very sad, mournful atmosphere
