We were a group of 5 traveling to Mogliev for the first time. We booked 3 rooms at tourist hotel and when we were checking in at the front desk we realized that one of our friends was missing his passport. We were devastated and the girl at the counter (ирина) was so rude she threw the rest of the passports onto the counter. We sat in the lobby trying to come up with a solution but the security guard was standing in front of us making us feel unwelcome so we sat outside on a bench. In the end my friend decided to get a taxi to go and come back with his passport while the rest of us checked in. The girl said she had already canceled our booking and had no available rooms. Luckily we found another hotel with staff that understands the meaning of hospitality and strangers that knew compassion. We understand that there are rules and that hotels do not accept pictures of passport but the way we were treated was not acceptable. Thank you for the reply. We understand the rules and regulations. It was a mistake of one of our colleagues(not all) to bring an expired document. The experience was stressful we just needed compassion while we figured things out. In the end 3 of us checked in to 2 rooms in a different hotel while two travelled back to their residence and came back with needed documents. I would also like to note we all carried our original valid passport translations (that were not expired) as well. Thank you for looking into the matter.

Unprofessional Conduct at Reception – A Disappointing Experience We had a deeply unpleasant experience at this hotel during check-in. We had a  group booking at Turist Hotel, and upon arrival, one guest presented a soft copy of his passport along with other government-issued IDs. Despite this, the receptionist, Irina, refused to accept any form of digital documentation. Instead of seeking a reasonable solution or escalating the matter to a supervisor, Irina abruptly cancelled our entire booking—denying check-in to all members of our group. Her behavior was shockingly aggressive: she threw our passports onto the counter and began yelling loudly, even though we remained calm and respectful throughout. This left us stranded in an unfamiliar city, scrambling to find alternative accommodation at the last minute. The incident caused tremendous stress for us and our families, and could have been avoided with a more professional and empathetic approach. We understand that hotels have policies, but the lack of flexibility, refusal to escalate, and outright hostility were unacceptable. We hope the management takes this feedback seriously and implements proper customer service training to prevent similar experiences for future guests.

I ordered a single room for a day. I liked almost everything: the nice polite girls at the reception, a small museum of antique household items in the lobby, a beautifully decorated restaurant with delicious food. The room is clean, bright, cozy, comfortable bed, there is everything you need, up to disposable slippers. Pleasant prices for both rooms and delicious breakfasts. I will note only one drawback: an unpleasant smell in the room: either from furniture, or after repair, or from treatment with some chemicals.
