Hello. I decided to tell you about my situation so that other children and their parents would not suffer, as my baby and I did. We are 4 years old and at the end of April, the lower and upper frenulum were cut off here. I also talked with doctors and read on the Internet what is happening and how. In principle, everything, as it seemed to me, should have been fine. In the morning, we were admitted, and in the afternoon we were told that there would be an operation the next day. After lunch, an anesthesiologist came and here everything went wrong according to plan. There were two moms in the ward and we asked the anesthesiologist: "Are there any moments after surgery when the baby is recovering from anesthesia. Do parents need to do something? Something to keep track of? Some special features." To which we were given an answer: "After anesthesia, children move away in different ways: some sleep, others are aggressive on the contrary."The second mom clarified: "Can children bite their tongue after anesthesia?" To which we were told that there were no such cases.
I used to believe people, and doctors even more so. I will attach a photo of what the child's tongue looked like after the operation. Neither the anesthesiologist, nor the doctor, nor the nurse who carried the child on a gurney. No one told me that mommy was looking after the baby, he could chew his tongue completely, because he didn't feel anything in his mouth. We were discharged on the same day. And then it started...
the temperature was 39, a bunch of greens in my mouth, chlorhexidine and a tongue in rags. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. The child lost 2 kg of weight, considering that he is already thin. He didn't eat anything. It was a week of hell. I was "tearing my hair out" from my own despair.
I couldn't stand it and went to the heads of the departments of both anesthesiology and oral surgery. They received the baby and me well (thanks to them for that) and confirmed that such cases could occur and apologized for the incompetence of their staff.
In the end, I repeat that I wrote this so that other parents would know about such moments and do something. And not like me... I just watched my child stupidly "eating" his tongue.
I deliberately do not specify the names of the specialists. The main thing for me is to inform my parents so that they know that this can happen.

The attitude of the patients is terrible, no one will listen and does not believe the complaints. They stuff you with pills, but they never ask you how your condition is, if there are any side effects.
There are two advantages: there is a door in the toilet and you go to the bathroom alone (only once a week).
Phones are given out for 40 minutes a day and if you want to leave the common room to call your parents, they start scolding. The phone is also unlikely to be charged, since the outlets are only in the ward, and it is forbidden to be there.
On weekdays, the older children sit in the dining room, the younger ones in the playroom, but on weekends everyone has to sit in the playroom, where there are at most 6 places, everyone else has to sit on the floor. You can not enter the ward, only for daytime and nighttime sleep, if you need to take something from there, you need to ask the nurses to open the door, since there are no handles on the doors, and they can not always let you in, even if something important needs to be taken.
