Once upon a time, back in 1633, the master gunsmiths who forged sacred daggers erected a beautiful temple on the shore of the lake of the Sacred Mountain in honor of the lady of the waters, Devi Dana. The goddess liked the temple so much that she decided to flood it, and made the water in the lake sacred, and if you constantly bathe in it, you will get youth and longevity. So the legend says. But its indisputable importance is proved by its multi-tiered structure, 11 tiers is the maximum number, one of the most important. He is also depicted on a 50,000-rupee banknote issued in 2013. But the temple looks amazing in person, it is wonderfully harmoniously integrated into the landscape.

Ulan Danu Pagoda is located near Lake Bratan. Very often in this region it is foggy, cloudy and there are short-term rains, even when it is clear all over the island, the weather is wonderful and the sun is shining brightly. Ulan Danu Pagoda is a very famous and visited by a large number of tourists attraction. Our family's opinion of this place is divided. Personally, it didn't make a big impression on me. We drove to the pagoda after visiting the rice terraces and the Tanah Lot Temple. Of all the locations on this day, the Oolong Danu Pagoda made the least impression. I would not advise you to go on purpose.

The Oolong Danu Temple was built in 1633 and is used for sacrifices in honor of the goddess of water, rivers and lakes Devi Danu. On the territory of the complex there is an 11-tiered tower dedicated to the god Shiva and his wife Parvati. In Bali, you can see 3, 5, 7, 9 or 11 tiered temples, depending on which gods they are dedicated to. The temple also houses a Buddha statue and a stupa. The place is very beautiful, but there are a lot of tourists.
