This is a place with a lot of history. The Romanov Estate in Staroborisovo was built by Michal Jerome Radziwill in the early 19th century. In addition to the ornate palace and outbuildings, it included a park. During the War of 1812, Napoleon and his entourage stayed on the estate. Due to financial problems in the middle of the 19th century, the heirs of Michal Hieronymus Radziwill were forced to sell the estate to representatives of the Russian imperial family, the Grand Dukes of Romanov. The new owners have done a lot to improve the estate, erected a stone palace in the classical style and outbuildings. After the October Revolution of 1917, the estate was nationalized, and various Soviet institutions were housed in the surviving buildings. In 2023, the Estate of the Grand Dukes of the House of Romanov was transferred to the Talaya Foundation. Since 2024, the building is under reconstruction, there will be a rehabilitation center for children who have lost limbs as a result of mine-blast wounds, accidents and surgical amputations.

The building has begun to be reconstructed, it has already been plastered. It is planned to organize a rehabilitation center for disabled children. So most likely, after the reconstruction, a barrier and a watchman will be installed, limiting the free access of tourists. So hurry up if you want to walk up the hill and look down at the remnants of former luxury.

The insanely disfigured wing of the manor with a rich history. Apparently, they tried to restore it more than once, but they abandoned this thankless task. Very sorry.
