Gomel city, V. I. Lenin Square. I was on a trip to Belarus, traveled from Lida to Moscow via Gomel. Of course, I visited the center, Lenin Square, the park, and the main attractions of the city. Since childhood, I remember the positive impression of visiting the city in the 70s, where I went with a class from a school in the Bryansk region. The vivid impressions of a city tour, a boat trip along the Sozh River and a visit to Lenin Square remained in my memory for the rest of my life. It's been almost 60 years since that time, I haven't lived in my homeland for a long time, I've been to a lot of places, a lot has changed, even in those values that were in my head from birth. But, most importantly, our relations with the brothers from Belarus are still strong and balanced. It is very important that Homelites have preserved much of that stable life that has now been lost, and the monument to Vladimir Ilyich on the central square also stands proudly. And there are such monuments in all cities of Belarus.
