A very popular place) especially among the spectators of the Red Buds... It is known among tourists, a kind of must visit, very conveniently located in the city center, near the Sultan Ahmed mosques, the Grand Bazaar, there is a very pleasant square nearby, according to Turkish concepts, a park. It's nice to take a walk and look at the grandeur of a well-preserved ancient monument. The aqueduct stands above the current highway, so be careful when chasing cool photos.

This aqueduct is one of the architectural landmarks of Istanbul. Many parts of the aqueduct have been preserved in good condition, and parts of it can still be seen in various areas of the city. The aqueduct is distinguished by its majestic arches, which are a symbol of the engineering skills of the Roman era. This building impresses both with its historical significance and its architectural beauty.

One of the historical buildings in Istanbul that is worth seeing. The aqueduct can be seen from afar, a fairly large highway passes through its arches and good photos are obtained. The monument is of the ancient Roman era, somewhere the original cladding has been preserved. Turks use arches as gazebos to relax in the shade, but mostly these are cafes located very close, but Turks so often use historical monuments. I advise you to visit....

The place for which it is worth moving away from the center.
Gigantic for its time (and still impressive in size) an aqueduct through which water flowed from one hill to another, and the center of Constantinople, to fill the cisterns. And this is from the 4th century to the 19th! Just think, what a fantastic idea.
Here you can look at the perspective of the modern city through the arch of antiquity, see how the acacia blossoms.
The aqueduct is in perfect condition considering its age.

I've always wanted to see the architecture built by the Romans. Someone will think that it's just a wall, what's interesting here?
But! This is a water pipeline that was built in 368-375. And it is still in good condition. And he worked until the 19th century.
Just imagine how many years have passed, and the craftsmanship of those times is still alive.
There is a place near the park where you can safely stand up and take a picture. There aren't many people here even on weekends. So you can come and just enjoy the moment sitting on the bench.

It is located a little away from the rest of the sights of Istanbul, but I think you need to come here - see it once. The aqueduct is beautiful, but not the most picturesque place for a photo: the highway, a lot of cars, noisy. At the time of our visit, the sidewalk was also being made, so fences, yellow signs and other attributes of road repairs also added a modern atmosphere. But that didn't really stop you from admiring the beautiful structure.

It's a monumental structure, remarkably preserved to this day... it's not far from the Suleymane Mosque, but I didn't really like the neighborhood - it was a bit dirty, but it wasn't lost anywhere. Istanbul is a city of contrasts!

Of course, this place is worth a look. In very good condition. It gives the impression of a grandiose structure, reliable, beautiful. There is a large green park on both sides of the road passing through the arches of the aqueduct. Magnolias bloom in the park in spring. There is a postcard view from both sides of the park.

It's a very cool attraction, you know that this building has a thousand-year history. I understand that this is a Byzantine story, but the Turkish authorities could have illuminated the aqueduct at night, which would have added to the charm of the city. People go to the city for history too.

The design inspires admiration and awe. I was especially shocked by the thought of age.
And of course, a separate respect is caused by the fact that the Aqueduct wildly impedes traffic, but it is preserved and Turks and all guests of Istanbul stand in wild traffic jams with respect for history. … It's not like that with us
And yes, it's a crime to visit Istanbul and not see it ;)

It's an incredible feeling of touching history. The noise of a modern big city around you is a bit distracting. I was surprised that parts of the aqueduct's base are "used": homeless people sit and even sleep on them, for example, and store their belongings.

The aqueduct itself is high and authentic. But it is very awkwardly located - neither to make a pretty photo, nor to feel the atmosphere of the ancient world that gave rise to it. It sticks out in the middle of a dusty avenue, there is no view either behind it or in front of it, there is a small square nearby, but this does not save. We went there because we were nearby, and I wouldn't go to the other side of town for him. In general, not Pont du Gard from the word at all.

The Valenta Aqueduct, located in the Fatih district, crosses Ataturk Boulevard. This is a huge structure that was thousands of years old during the Ottoman conquest. The Turks keep it in perfect condition. The most interesting thing is that the aqueduct is easily accessible via public transport, it looks fantastic and no money is charged for visiting it. There are a lot of shops, hotels and catering outlets around. There is a nice park nearby where you can relax. As a traveler, I definitely recommend the Aqueduct of Valens to visit.

The aqueduct is perfectly visible from different points. The expressway through the aqueduct leads to the bridge and then to the other side of the Golden Horn. To the left of the aqueduct is Mehmed the Conqueror Park and a monument to him. If you walk through the arches of the aqueduct on the left, you will get to the local market, where only Turkish is spoken. Dried fruits, sweets, nuts, seasonings, rustic cheese and much more are sold here at a very reasonable price. Sellers don't bother. There is an opportunity to calmly choose and try.
