An atmospheric and very awesome place! The only exhibit in the museum is a sunken ship. You will not be able to climb on the ship, you cut circles around it and admire it from all angles. You can purchase a book with the history of the ship in Russian.

The Maritime Museum with a huge ship in the center, the almost completely preserved 64-gun ship of the XVII century "Vassa", which sank on August 10, 1628 during the first sailing in the harbor of Stockholm.
The ship was at the bottom for more than 300 years, until it was raised to the surface in 1961.
The museum is relatively new, opened in 1990! And now it is the most visited museum in Sweden!
I recommend you to visit!

I like the Vasa Museum. You can spend the whole day. There is a film in Russian and a cartoon for children. The audio guide is available for download. You can do without a guided tour. There is a cafe and a place for a snack.

It's very atmospheric. The ship is 300 years old. And it is felt.
Striking carvings, especially on the stern.
The children will be bored here.

Perhaps the most famous and popular museum in the Scandinavian countries. An incredible and fascinating story of the sinking of a naval ship, as well as its rise.

An interesting museum. Its main exhibit is the sunken royal galleon, raised to the surface three centuries later. At the same time, thousands of objects from the ship were lifted from the bottom, some of them can also be seen in the museum.

We were told about this place when we were teenagers, so when we got here, the feeling was like a fairy tale. The entrance is expensive, the museum is dedicated to one ship, which can be viewed from all sides and from different floors. Information about the exhibits is very well provided (in several languages, including Russian and Chinese). It is convenient to get there.

The museum was built as a result of the raising of the sunken royal carob. It sank due to a design error in the ratio of length and width. It was not even resistant to small waves. It is built of oak. Therefore, the smog will last for many years. The patterns, symbols and decorations made according to the idea of the King of Sweden are impressive.

The museum of one ship. Impresses the imagination with its grandeur and beauty. Household items, household items and clothes of the people who built this ship more than 300 years ago are presented. It is spectacular and interesting, even though I am not a historian and not a connoisseur of naval ships and military affairs. It will take about 1.5-2 hours to explore and feel the splendor. The museum is a one-visit, one-time great. The prices for souvenirs in the museum's shop are simply cosmic.

Personally, this is the third time I have been to the museum with a gap of 5-7 years between episodes, but each time it is an inexhaustible delight and careful study of the exposition and each time some new discoveries! This is a must-visit place in Stockholm! And for my 5-year-old child, visiting the museum this spring was the most vivid impression as part of a trip on a ferry through the "three Stalins". It was difficult with the child on the trip, at some moments I even wished that they had dragged me. It's hard and unjustifiably, Europe is not as interesting to him as it is for adults, but it can be said with certainty that for the sake of the VASA museum, these were worthwhile trials!

We were on weekdays around 12 a.m. There was no queue to enter, although there were a lot of people inside the museum. Inside the large hangar is the ship itself, which can be viewed from several levels-floors, as well as artifacts related to the ship's era. You can watch a film with the history of the creation of the ship, as well as its lifting and reconstruction, and a couple of times a day this film is in Russian.

This is a museum of a ship built in 1628, sunk immediately after construction and raised in the 50s of the 20th century. Everything is authentic there, plus life-size sites are made for visitors - mars, the battery deck, etc. In addition, mock-ups of the ship's decoration are placed on the stands to visually understand how all this splendor looked 400 years ago. There is not and cannot be a second such museum in the world. Be sure to visit at the first opportunity!

They show an interesting film about a ship raised from the bottom of the sea, in Russian, on a big screen. A free audio guide, also in Russian (if you have a smartphone), on the museum's website. There is free WiFi in the museum. Someone immediately took the camera we had forgotten on the bench to the information desk. The exhibition is worth visiting, but after 2 hours you get tired, there is a lot of information. The ship itself is really gorgeous, 98% authentic, as they say.
