The memorial complex made an impression. It includes a monument-sculpture of a soldier with a bowed flag, an Eternal Flame, memorial plaques with the names of heroes who died in the Great Patriotic War. One of the main memorable places of the city. Beautiful, monumental, always relevant! Traditionally, both the monument and the trees are in excellent condition. lawns (see photos after moderation). Once upon a time, mostly in Soviet times, high school students participated in the memory watch, the changing of the guard. Two boys with machine guns and 2 girls aged 15-16 stood on both sides of the monument. About half an hour later, a shift took place. I also happened to be a member of the guard of honor in 1988. These are, of course, the affairs of bygone days, but there are chances for the resumption of this tradition in the future.
