On October 20, 2025, at 17:40, I was in the Viennese store at 27/4 Bokeikhan St., Astana. I inadvertently dropped a product — baby eye shadow. The incident happened by accident, without intent and without rude actions. The store staff insisted on paying "compensation" for the alleged damage to the goods. Under pressure, I paid the amount of 3,500 (three thousand five hundred) tenge, although the product was not purchased and was the property of the store. I consider the actions of the employees illegal because: — according to Article 188 of the Civil Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the owner (Viennese) is responsible for property before the transfer of ownership; — according to the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Consumer Rights Protection", the buyer is not obliged to compensate for accidental damage to goods that do not belong to him.
