Vacationed here with my husband in early November 2023. 1) By numbers - everything is fine. The rooms are spacious, clean, and even those facing the road are covered with trees. As it should be 4*, there are bathrobes, all towels, shower accessories, hairdryer, etc. There were no problems with the water, sometimes it was even too warm. AN IMPORTANT POINT: this is not only a hotel, but also a BEACH CLUB, so the music by the pool plays somewhere from lunch until midnight. You can hear it perfectly from everywhere, so don't count on silence, the singing of birds and the ringing of tree frogs. 2) The territory of the hotel is not large, but well-groomed, there is a restaurant, a swimming pool, a lawn for dancing and a DJ booth, sun beds and umbrellas, a shower. 3) The staff is responsive, promptly solved all questions, asked a hundred times if everything was in order, polite and not intrusive. I will clarify right away that they do not speak Russian, but you need to adapt to Lankan English. 3)The location is good, to the center of Veligama (I mean the bus station) 5-7 minutes on foot, to surf spots - no more than 5 minutes. By tuk-tuk to Mirissa to go in about 7 minutes. 4) On food: the restaurant cooks delicious, but the price tag is significantly higher than average. Also, all the food is adapted to European: for example, there is no crab or grilled shrimp on the menu: the crab will be removed from the shell and mixed with vegetables, the shrimp will be cleaned and generously filled with sauce. To summarize: I think this is the best low-budget hotel in Veligam.
