The food was taken for breakfast and dinner, the food was varied and of excellent quality, it was important for us because we were traveling with the children and they would bring porridge and fries, burgers and sandwiches, the food was like Sri Lankan European Asian, every evening crabs and shrimps and baramundia everything was delicious! There is something to compare about 25 countries traveled to in Asia, the fifth country! The staff is very helpful and friendly! I ordered beer at the pool, and they brought beer and coconuts for the kids! The beach is gorgeous and gentle, with children, it's not deep, the waves are not big, but there are a lot of surfers who didn't interfere with each other.Their place! We had lunch at a cafe on the beach, there are a lot of them in the area, you just walk along the beach and go into a decent place.I think the prices are the same as in the CIS, plus or minus the same.Cigarettes are expensive! The fare is not expensive, either by taxi or by tuk tuk.The hotel's territory is great, not big, but cozy! The rooms are bright with a great view of the ocean (we lived on the second floor) , in fact, the 6th floor, the rooms are cleaned well, you can't ask for them! In general, I liked everything!

The perfect place. I've been there once, and I've been wanting to do it again ever since. Imagine this: the warm country of Sri Lanka. Low stone houses with a maximum of three floors, tuk-tuks, wild traffic on the roads, palm trees, monkeys and monitor lizards are fighting with cats in any yard. The ocean is just around the corner, and there are surfing and sun beds with coconuts. There is a fish market nearby, where freshly caught tuna will be served with French fries in 15 minutes. And if you cross the street, there's a smoothie cafe where the list of things you can make a smoothie or cocktail from exceeds 50 items. Half of them have never been served in Russia. And in the middle of it all stands the 10-storey Marriott Hotel. The windows of all rooms overlook the ocean, there are no options, except from which floor you plan to admire. There are several pools under the balconies, a bunch of palm trees and 200 meters from the exit to the pools there is already an ocean with surfboards. And a balcony with armchairs and a table. And then there are breakfasts, lunches and dinners. And this is a buffet system, only there are not a standard European set, but 12 different separate kitchens, and you can combine them at your discretion. That is, you can probably try everything here in a couple of weeks, and then if you set such a goal. Oh, by the way, this is the only place in the whole of Veligama where there is decent coffee from a modern coffee machine, in other places trash. And for me, this is a kind of sanctuary of summer hedonism. Settling down there for the winter and rolling out in March - that's life!
