The place to stay is not very good, to spend the night and no more. The location is good, the center is close to the pedestrian Istiklal street. It takes a long time to climb the stairs inside, the beds are hard, climbing to the second tier is a whole ordeal, the bed linen looks unclean, the bathrooms leave much to be desired. Towels were given only after they were asked for. But one thing pleases me-the employees respond quickly and try to help.

I will explain why 3 stars :
Of the advantages:
1. Excellent location from Taksim Street in 2 minutes.
2. There are a lot of cafes and shops nearby, there is even a creepy Barbershop that I do not recommend going to.
Of the cons:
1. I checked in after 16:00, the bed was not changed, I managed to get it replaced, I had to stand over my soul. By the way, the guys know English , but with a lot of effort .
2. The rooms are terribly dirty, the shower is clogged, you stand knee-deep in water, the pressure of cold water is worthless.
I will not talk about the renovation, it has been since the opening of the hostel.
Honestly, I bought into the feedback of a compatriot and the cheap price. And I was very sorry .
It is better to move over and settle in another place , since there are at least 3 more in sight next to this hostel.

I'll give you two stars, and I'll explain my rating below. I'll break it down into pros and cons.
Positive:
1) The price is cheap enough, I booked through Tinkoff, paid 3,300 rubles for 4 nights, it's nice enough.
2) Location. The hostel is located right in the very center, it takes 5 minutes to walk to Taksim Square slowly, but it's better to hurry (I'll tell you about this in the cons)
3) There are lockers that close, but I'm not sure that this should have any special effect on the assessment, as it should be in all adequate hostels
4) Pleasant and kind staff who do not speak much English, but generally understandable. But this is where the advantages of the staff and the hostel end, then to the cons.
Minuses:
1) The hostel is located in the Tarlabashi area. I didn't know that this is one of the most criminal areas of Istanbul, I found out only after checking in from the Instagram feeds. Therefore, you need to get out of these small narrow streets as quickly as possible so as not to get into history, especially in the evening.
2) IT'S SOOOOO COLD. Okay, I understand that there is no centralized heating in Turkey, but I asked for the remote control for the air conditioner probably 5-7 times, by the way, it has not yet been provided. I sleep in a sweater and jeans. (I came to warm up from cold Moscow, but it didn't work out).
3) Dirty bed linen with stains. Well, it's kind of okay with the stains... BUT IT's RAW AND IT SMELLS like it's being washed without powder… But at least it's being changed, thanks))
4) Dirty, Very dirty. The repair is old, well, it's kind of okay, but you can at least do cosmetic .... The electrics are in poor condition ((
Bottom line: if you are not picky, travel light and have a limited budget, this is a good option (but look for more). If any comfort is important to you, do not stay here.
