It's a very interesting place. There are very few of them, so be sure to visit.
This is the territory of a silk-spinning factory. It all starts with a store where you can (and should!) take a tour, as the employees hardly speak Russian and will not be able to explain anything to you. The tour takes about 30 minutes.
You will be shown how the thread unwinds from the pupae of silkworms, how it is spun. How the threads are then prepared for painting, how and with what they are painted, and how, finally, silk and other fabrics are woven, as well as carpets are made.
It's very interesting!
There is also a workshop where there are machines and you can also see the work.
The store sells fabrics and clothes.
In general, the territory is very beautiful, there are many fruit trees.

An interesting tour with a woman from the family of the new factory owners. She showed me and told me all the production technology, but due to the fact that we were there in January, there are no employees, it's cold. There is a store where I bought fabrics. I'll give you a little price guidance. Cotton is thin, 40 cm wide, 3 dollars per meter, silk 40 cm wide, 15 dollars per meter. The work is handmade, so the price is more than adequate. I didn't use the finished products, they are too authentic, I just have nowhere to wear them. The factory is a must-visit if you are in the Ferghana Valley!

An attempt to support an old factory from the Soviet era deserves respect. As well as the development of classical silk spinning.
The factory's territory is very well maintained.
However, all the machines that are generally available are from very ancient times.
The job as a whole is difficult. A huge disadvantage is the available fabric size: 40-80 cm cut. What to do with it is not clear.
The factory is working on bulk import orders. The retail store presents illiquid and overpriced defects. The fabrics are stained and puffed.

There are several factories in Margilan, the largest and most modern of them is Khan Atlas, and in general, the small Yedgorlik was created in 1972, and its name could be translated as a Gift or Souvenir - from the very beginning, the emphasis was not on Soviet mass character, but on preservation traditions.
It occupies an old madrasah (according to other sources - a caravanserai) of Serli, and behind the gate is a former mosque built in 1842
It also houses the factory's branded store, and the assortment here is almost more beautiful than the interior

A wonderful place!!!!! I recommend you to visit!!!! Very atmospheric, antique. Everything is clean, people are friendly. There is a hotel, shops where you can buy souvenirs and clothes of your own manufacture. The fountain is clean, it pleased me in the heat.
We were in the afternoon, there were almost no visitors because it was very hot. They gave us a tour and told us everything.

A place where the ancient traditions of dyeing and weaving fabrics in the ikat technique are kept by hand on wooden looms. The factory has guides who will show and tell you about the methods from thread production to the finished product, and at the end of the tour you can buy products from adras, ayukhanatals, bahmal and shoya from the factory's craftsmen. Very beautiful things for pleasant prices. I leave with a purchase every time.

A wonderful factory. If you want to know how silk appears, that's where you're going.
On the tour, you will be shown and told the whole process from the appearance of silk threads to the canvas. The masters have been working for generations.
Fabrics are woven both manually and on machines.

An interesting attraction in Ferghana.
The visit to the showroom is free of charge. Factory tour - 30,000 soums per person.
On the tour you will learn (but not the fact that you will see the process in person) the technology of creating dyed fabric from the moment of the cocoon's respiration to the moment of the sale of the fabric.
All processes in the factory are mostly manual, but there are also machines. I can't say that it's incredibly interesting here, but it's still curious.
There is a parking lot, a cafe, and a toilet on site. You can enjoy tea, coffee and dried fruits.
The tour can be conducted in Uzbek, Russian and English.

I advise tourists to visit this place. To find a guide who will take you through all the workshops and tell you about this craft, you need to go to the souvenir shop (at the entrance, she got fat on the right side). The price of the guide is around 30,000 soums. The tour will take a little less than an hour.

My wife and I have specially allocated one day for a trip to this factory from Tashkent.
Initially, I thought that it would not be interesting for me, but in fact I got great pleasure from getting acquainted with the production process from the doll to the finished product.
Today, the factory is undergoing a process of global restructuring and modernization.
As we were told, a space will be opened - a museum, a hotel, but at the same time the factory will work according to its intended purpose.

It is located in the city center, a five-minute walk from the bus station. At the entrance to the factory there is a shop with things and balls made of local fabric. I will briefly orient you on prices.
A scarf with a national pattern from khb costs 60t sum, silk ones from 150t sum to infinity, national robes from 750t sum. A huge selection of fabrics, at prices from 30t sum.
We got to the factory when everyone had already gone to prayer, so everything was closed. But the director came up to us and offered to tell us and show us everything. It was very entertaining. Such an excursion cost 100t sum (50t/person). By Moscow standards, the prices here are low. I definitely recommend it for a visit!

There were, but the production was closed due to the cold. At first they said that they would show the production itself (the workshops themselves) without any problems, but after visiting the store during production and not buying anything there, they refused us. Not particularly upset, but unpleasant. It would not have been lost on anyone, and it will not be lost. As they say, it happens 😃

I really liked it there! But only because it's all just very interesting, unfortunately, everything is just collapsing, it seems to be being repaired already. But to look, so to speak, in order to understand the process, I definitely recommend it. By the way, I didn't like the store. Look for fabrics in the markets. For example, in Kokand, which is not far from there.

I liked it, but the work is not easy at all, a meter of fabric is hand-woven for a whole day, and carpets are at least 4 years old. It is a very time-consuming process. There is a store where you can buy fabrics and finished products. An interesting place to visit.
