A long story about how #Yandex can steal money from you. More accurately #Yandex. Food, if you order food through the app #Yandex. Money. A lot of letters, I'm sorry, but please spread it, and do not repeat mistakes, and if possible, it's better not to use this crazy service at all.
I must say right away that the issue is a penny, but fundamental.
So, it was in Almaty. On Wednesday evening, a little after 8 o'clock, we ordered a couple of pizzas for 10 kopecks thousand tenge. Through the app #Yandex.Money (this is important) – through where you can order taxis, scooters, and food. And not through the app #Yandex. The amount was successfully debited - in this # Yandex well done, they charge you money instantly and very efficiently, do not find fault.
With everything else, Yandex is not so good. We waited for more than 2 hours. We watched with interest how the courier was rummaging around the city, but he stubbornly did not want to come to us. We were a little upset that everything had cooled down, but it's okay, we'll wait. Moreover, at 10 pm it is already difficult to order something else, in another place.
At the eleventh hour, we watched the courier hanging out somewhere in the neighborhood. God knows what he's forgotten there, we're waiting patiently. Imagine our surprise when we received a message that "the courier could not deliver the order to you, but we will not refund the money because you are suckers."
I'm kidding, the wording is not like that, but the meaning is this. #Yandex wrote that "you did not specify the exact details of your address, and the courier could not contact you, so it's your own fault, next time write your address and phone number correctly."
The only discrepancy is that both the phone and the address in the application are specified absolutely correctly. And there were no calls from Yandex.
Okay, we're writing to support. We get a bunch of script messages that copy themselves. "You didn't give information about the address, you didn't get through, it's your own fault." At some point, a live person connected and wrote the following: "I see on the map that the courier came to you, stood near the entrance, but could not find your apartment," and "I see that he called you, I have everything written down here."
Catch number 1 – we live in the private sector, this is a detached house in which there are no apartments or entrances. There are no entrances at all within a kilometer radius. It is not clear what the operator saw there. To the questions: "at what address did the courier arrive?" - we have not received an answer. But I already know where he was, I saw him on the map.
Catch number 2 – as I wrote above, there were no calls. The support operator sent us to study the details from the mobile operator, and of course, there is nothing there either. We've been asking for a long time, what number did you call? We have an order with the connection, there are no failures, LTE shows, everyone is getting through. The operator stubbornly did not want to talk, but on the fiftieth attempt he called the number. The correct number, everything is OK. But what's more interesting is that another operator sent us a completely different number a few minutes later, which they allegedly called. And this number is an old Moscow number that was registered in the application earlier, 2.5 years ago! How is that? There was a third version – the Kazakh number was indicated, but it appeared in the application a year and a half ago. In total, different people gave us 3 different numbers, where they allegedly tried to call us.
A matter of principle, we continue to correspond. Hungry and angry. We ask if I can call you? No, they say we have a call center, write to this chat. Where to send a detailed claim is also nowhere, everything is in a chat, communicate with a chatbot.
Okay We Googled the support phone in Russia. We are calling, oh, miracle, a living person. We had a nice conversation, but they don't solve the problems. They gave me the mail (it turns out that there is still mail for claims, but the support in the chat was lying again).
So, let's move on. Yesterday we wrote an email to support, attached 3 screenshots of the correspondence, where you can see all the nonsense about "the entrance where the courier was waiting" and about different phone numbers. In response, we received the same scripted unsubscriptions – it's your own fault, enter the correct information. But the man was still reached, and everything turned out.
IT TURNS OUT THAT'S WHAT'S THE MATTER! A different number is specified in the Yandex.Direct application. This is an old Moscow phone. And it doesn't matter that we haven't used the Yandex app for a long time. It's just that if food is being delivered to you by order from Yandex, you will still be contacted by phone from the Yandex app. That's why the operators gave us different information about our phone.
Probably, the courier with geographical problems really tried to get through somehow, but it didn't work out. Support did not help him (although they can see all our numbers perfectly well in all Yandex applications). Also, the support was not confused by the fact that the ADDRESSES in the Food and in the Go do NOT MATCH. They don't care, it's not written in their script yet.
In total, the correspondence did not lead to anything. They sent us to the forest.
In the dry balance, Yandex has 2 problems in this case:
1. Strange couriers who do not know how to use Yandex maps.
2. Confusion with different applications, and different data in these applications. Which are not synchronized in any way. And it doesn't say anywhere that you, the user, have to fix something in an application that you don't use.
Resume. 10 thousand tenge is a penny, but it is very unpleasant that for the money written off from you on prepayment, the obligations are not fulfilled; they make you look like an idiot for your own money, and the support is not sitting to help, but to shit you with scripted unsubscriptions, accusing you on the way that you are stupid and cannot use their gorgeous app.
