A worthwhile place. It's a pity there's not much left of the interior decoration. There were almost no people, mostly Russians. You can climb the walls for a view. Well , inside and outside the mosque , there is a cafe . It doesn't look historical at all. I think the entrance price will be taken away soon.

I was here when the territory was still undergoing restoration (March 2023). I paid 100 lire for the entrance. You could go into several towers and climb one of them, the view is amazing! And the climb itself is even more interesting: steep steps, small windows, narrow passages and small rooms. I was genuinely interested in walking even on one tower. The main advantage is that there are no tourists at all. You walk quietly, look, take photos. The main place here is the Golden Gate, the former main entrance to the fortress. I love ruins, so it was very interesting for me to wander around and look at everything, but of course you will not find anything exquisite here.

We were in April 2023, I liked it. Restoration is underway, you can climb the central towers, the passage was closed to the walls. It is a pity that from the outside there are some vegetable gardens and huts behind the moat. I couldn't get around it, the dog almost bit me.

26.02.2022. The Golden Gate cannot be viewed from the outside, access is blocked by the cemetery. They asked me for 100 lire to enter the territory. At the moment, reconstruction is underway, you can only go up to one of the towers, but for this money it is better to visit the Galata Tower. The view from the Galata Tower is super, the impressions are colossal, and there is nothing to look at from the Golden Gate of the Castle. I advise you not to waste time and money and go to Galatka.
