We stayed at this hotel for a two-day Nuwara Eliya tour./Sigiriya for the night. Negative reviews are completely true. This hotel would never have been chosen, but the program initially stated the neighboring 4* hotel with a view of the waterfall. A room was also provided here, which cannot be compared even with an average guesthouse. The hotel has renovated rooms, Euro sockets, and a hairdryer. Most of them have a good view, even if not of the waterfall, but beautiful, as well as from the restaurant site. But this is only in the two upper renovated floors (300th and above rooms). But the rooms on the ground level - the second one, it's not worth talking about below - are a complete mess. The bathroom is covered in black mold, dirty tiles, everything is broken, there is either no hot water (in one of the rooms - in the corner), or slightly warm (in the neighboring ones). That is, after a hot day, you will not be able to wash, and with allergies to mold and those chemicals that treat the area around, you will not go to the toilet. The treatment obviously does not help, cockroaches and animals are available in these rooms. Towels are "worn out by life" to the extreme, bed linen is stained, blankets are not provided (only the second sheet, and this is in the highlands, where it can be cold). The legs by the bed are mowed down by the same life, there's no way to repair it. There is a semi-dirty rubber mat near the bed (!) with a wish for the best, on the bed, just for emotion, as well as the smiles of the reception staff glued to any appeal, a flower. Electrics - a bunch of wires, a local outlet only, adapters... - there are none, as they said at the reception. As a result, you can charge your phone only by using folk ingenuity: a pencil in the third slot - and voila, the gadget "comes to life". The light in the room is from Ilyich's light bulbs, and even then one of the four or five in the room (to at least reach the bed) and one in the bathroom, all the others and even in the hallway are just an empty basement! There is no air conditioner, but there is a fan that starts on a timer for a maximum of half an hour, resulting in a pleasant half-night entertainment on hot days: getting up and turning it on. The hair dryer is a symbol of luxury, not for these rooms. The "beautiful view" that was supposed to be on the roof or a tree complements all this ugliness! They refused to replace the number, saying, smiling, that there was nothing, and no one had ever complained, for the first time such excessive demands and unfounded claims. Since there was another hotel in the program, they didn't even know on the evening of arrival that the rooms were only on this floor, they thought it was all +/-. Tired, we decided to at least get some sleep and then resolve the issue with the travel agency. In the morning, at breakfast, we talked with the rest of the group and only then found out that they had numbers like on the photo site. By the way, we charged even higher for the rooms on our floor, like for "singles", but in fact they were not repaired. And finally: it was kind of squeamish to wipe my face with towels, but it's okay with my hands. One of the two towels was left in the room, because they wiped the table and chairs with it, it became very dirty, and the second one was left hanging in the bathroom. We rented the room, had breakfast, rested, and before leaving, I remembered that there was a cap left in the restaurant or in the room. Came. The room was already kind of cleaned, there was a bucket with a liter of black water and rags in the hotel corridor, there was a towel and a sheet from the room, and when looking at the room, what was the surprise when the second towel was just hung back as clean! I almost turned inside out at the thought that towels are reusable, and everything else is possible too. To be fair: a restaurant for breakfast and dinner is quite normal for the existing 3 * (and the view is beautiful, and the buffet is fully stocked).

Attention! Lock the balcony door at night with a key, otherwise be prepared to be robbed. We stayed at this hotel overnight on a two-day guided tour. Overall, everything was good, a good dinner, great views from the 4xx rooms, plenty of room space. But around 5 a.m., three people from the group had their rooms stolen through the balcony door. The thief managed to steal money and two pairs of headphones. The manager was very rude and hinted that we had set it up. When the police arrived and started checking the cameras, it turned out that the cameras on these numbers were disabled. The earphones on the locator lit up on a tea plantation nearby.

Tourists are being massively stolen from the hotel! We spent the night at the hotel as part of two groups (12 people each). In the morning it turned out that 5 people had been robbed. They make their way through the balcony and take out money and equipment. Be sure to lock all the doors!!! The hotel manager first said that a Russian was seen on the cameras, then said that the cameras were not working, and eventually that the victims had made it up. Disgusting service, disgusting experience. The view from the hotel is really cool, but the sediment from this situation will remain for a long time.
