It's a very beautiful and colorful place. The garden itself is beautiful, although small, but you can walk for a very long time, enjoying the views and taking pictures at every step. Beyond the walls of the garden is a large area, stylized as old Shanghai, with lots of shops and shops, shopping streets and food. A must-visit! P.S. There are horned lions in the photo, as soon as you see them, look for the dumpling to the left of them. The most delicious dumplings in Shanghai! The photo is just from the door of the dumpling house.

An interesting historical place, the cost of visiting is small, about 40 yuan. Inside there are landscape areas with ponds, gazebos, a souvenir shop, in a word, atmospheric.

Yu Yuan Garden is an oasis of philosophy, religion, art, history and centuries-old traditions of China. Its history dates back more than 450 years, and it is located in the very center of the old city of Nanshi. I highly recommend visiting it to immerse yourself in the flavor of the Celestial Empire, to feel the customs and traditions of China, which are still given great importance. A fountain of impressions and an abundance of unique photos will be provided to you!

Unlike, for example, Beijing, Shanghai is an even more dynamic, rapid, and developing city. And in the very center of the city there is a stunning old garden built in the XVI century. Its creator, an imperial official, built it for his father. He almost went broke (or even broke), died, did not see how the garden was finished. Then the garden was sold, ruined, restored... and now we can all see it - amazing in its beauty, harmony and tranquility. You can just walk around the garden without guides and guidebooks. But the guide will show you interesting things - for example, a stone ball in the mouth of a lion -) Among the practical points, I would like to mention the following. There are very small queues at the ticket office, even on public holidays, meaning there shouldn't be any problems buying tickets. But most just buy them via Alipay or WeChat Pay. It is better, of course, to come to the garden when there are few people there; when there are many, it is difficult to walk (in a crowd) and it is more difficult to enjoy the silence. In my opinion, a must-visit place in Shanghai that allows you to learn about the history and take a break from the noise of the city.

A magical oasis in the center of Shanghai, it is an incredibly beautiful and atmospheric place, a true masterpiece of landscape design. The variety of plants is amazing. True, there are a lot of tourists, but the magic of this place is so strong that a large crowd did not spoil the impression at all. Must-visit

It's beautiful, but there are a lot of people. Two hours was enough for the examination. There are souvenir shops on site. Admission is paid, something in the region of 40 yuan.

It feels like I'm in a fairy tale. There are many authentic corners of Chinese culture. Architecture, ornaments, landscaping - from small details to basic areas, everything breathes China.

Overall, it's not bad, but without the expected wow effect. In winter, it's not as colorful as in the summer photos. Paths and mazes will lead over bridges. There are several architectural objects in the garden, looking into which you can admire the art of furniture makers.

A picturesque garden that seems like a world of solitude, despite the huge number of people. Stroll through its narrow corridors under the open sky and admire its beauty and Asian old style. There is a bazaar near and around the entrance, which is crowded, even very crowded, but there are fewer people in the garden itself. It is worth a visit, it will take 30-40 minutes to walk along it, and the cost is about 40 yuan.

A beautiful tourist destination. There are many different shops and cafes for every taste. It's very beautiful in the evening when the backlight turns on. Various events and performances are periodically held at the pond. Carp in the pond swim the size of a small piglet))) It's a pity you can't catch it.

It's a very beautiful garden. Beautifully designed cozy territory. Beautiful architecture with fine details of roof decoration. Beautiful bonsai trees. Ponds, greenery, and rocks are all very harmonious...well, except for the crowds of Chinese))) well, what did you want in a city of 27 million!)))

It's very beautiful there, I advise you to go! It's near the old town in Shanghai. Unlike the "old town", Yu Yuan (Garden of Joy) is really ancient, it is more than 450 years old! Tickets available (40 yuan)

A very beautiful and picturesque place!!! You can walk around the outdoor market and the park with bridges and canals for free. Or buy a ticket to an indoor garden, which is built on the principle of Feng Shui. Do not forget your passport, it is necessary when buying a ticket!

I really like this place in Shanghai! The garden was especially striking during the first visit — the very idea of the place is not at all the same as in Russian parks. It's better to come right to the opening so that there are fewer people inside. If you have a chat, you can scan the QR code immediately after logging in and listen to the audio guide in Russian.

A great place to relax! The city center! It's even hard to believe. The garden is very peaceful. According to legend, his son began to build it for his old parents in the 16th century. There was not much money, the construction was delayed... as you understand, the parents did not wait. Then the garden was sold, changed hands several times. But the main thing is to remain a garden! It never occurred to anyone to set up a residential complex or a shopping center there! 400 years have passed, the garden is beautiful and is an amazing recreational area ✌️

Probably a convenient park for individual visits by the emperor and his entourage. But it is overloaded with tourists on narrow rocky passages, which does not cause much excitement from visiting it. On a hot day, there is no wind access, which makes his settlement even more difficult. It is paid and there is a limit on working hours

Nicely. I expected it to be very small, but in fact it turned out to be bigger. But you need to understand that these are not historical buildings, but recreated surroundings. At least that's what it seemed to me. But it's really beautiful and colorful. One of the disadvantages is the huge number of people. It will definitely not work to admire and meditate. One of the advantages is the proximity to the center, easy access and right there is a traditional Chinatown (also a recreation of the historical appearance). But I was more impressed by the Chinese village on the Zhujiajiao water. It's not so perfect there, but it's more realistic, or something, it's more like the spirit has really been preserved here and it's the story

The beauty of the park is difficult to see, because there are a lot of people there all the time, especially in summer, it gets stuffy, as well as stuffiness from the crowd and the water. That's why I can't call this place very beautiful. The garden is quite small, you can explore it in 10 minutes. But it's authentic enough. Also, at the entrance, the ushers understand English very poorly and are constantly shouting
