Beautiful palace complex. There is a luxurious garden with gazebos, a pond and even waterfalls.
Yildiz was the last refuge of the sultan and his family in the 19th century, so the luxury of palace life was preserved here, unlike Dolmabahce, which found the time of the Revolution and the rule of Ataturk.
There are pavilions with small museums around the perimeter - a harem, a library, a greenhouse, in general, everything that made up the daily routine of the rulers.
In front of the palace there is a beautiful mosque in the Gothic style, which, by the way, is in operation.
A big advantage of visiting Yildiz is the opportunity to buy a ticket at the same time as the right to visit Dolmabahce.
The downside is that you can't take pictures anywhere, but if you're careful and unobtrusive, you can. In general, I recommend you to visit.

The ticket price for foreigners is 850 liras, for locals 150 liras. It's a rip-off. A ticket to the Palace of Versailles costs less
The paper card of the museum was not given when buying the ticket.
The staff knows almost no English, they could not answer any questions about this facility.
Fences are installed in many rooms and in the park, it is impossible to enter many rooms of the palace and buildings.
It is forbidden to take pictures everywhere.

There is nothing to see here after the Topkapi and Dolmabahce palaces. There is, of course, a park with a pond with blooming water, but beyond the wall the park is much more beautiful and also free (There is a beautiful pond with large carp and picnic tables). Part of the way from Dolmabahce is steep, so keep in mind. It's not worth your money

I've been wanting to go to the Yildiz palace since the day it opened, I visited on a public holiday with the improvement of the weather;
The area before the entrance has a very magnificent view, the clock tower and hamidiye mosque on the right are areas that can be visited independently from the palace.
There is a large parking area on the left side of the entrance, its operation belongs to the national palaces.
First of all, the security stage is passed, then after the ticket purchase stage, etc., there is a ticket control area at the first entrance.
In May 2025, admission for domestic tourists is 150 TL, students are 50 TL (free for under-7s / 7-18s must pay- even if there is a museum card) foreign tourist price is 850 TL, museum card entrance is available but a very limited area can be visited (entrance courtyard, library humayun, buyuk mabeyn, fence pavilion, limonluk pavilion humayun) with a museum card, it's a very meaningless situation !?
Büyük mabeyn is only open to visitors on the ground floor, the restoration is ongoing on the upper floor, the exhibition space is limited, there are very beautiful examples of decoration reflecting the characteristics of the period.
The fence pavilion is full of content, many interesting products belonging to the period are exhibited, the wall coverings are remarkable and very beautiful.
At the exit of the fence pavilion, there is a lemon pavilion humayun, a beautiful area filled with flowers.
Humayun admires the library with its physical structure, historical books are displayed very well, even the libraries are very beautiful.
The courtyard part of the palace is very spacious and well-maintained, a beautiful atmosphere is formed in fine weather with greenery, waterfall, cafe part, low-pitched music is very suitable for the environment.
For those who have time, I recommend visiting the areas outside the museum card by buying a ticket.
