When you first open Yango Maps, the app will ask for permission to access your location. This helps provide accurate recommendations, plan routes effectively, and show information about nearby places.
Current location
Your location is determined automatically if location detection is enabled in your device settings. You can use the map to:
See where you are
Your location on the map is marked with . Tap on that placemark to see your exact address and coordinates.
Determine your location
To determine your location, tap the button so that it changes to . When you do this, the map centers on your location placemark.
Rotate the map to match your direction
For easier navigation, you can rotate the map to match your direction. To do this, tap the button so that it changes to . The button only appears on the home screen when you select a route, when you follow a walking route, and in Transport mode.
Navigate using the compass
The button is displayed when you rotate the screen or follow a route. The red arrow on the compass points to the north. To keep north always up, tap that button.
