One of my favorite spots in Tbilisi. Unfortunately the monument is in decay and the area feels abandoned (as the former museum of archaeology nearby), but the aura and the atmosphere of the place is calm and profound. It's interesting how a city can forget its heroes, they once built this monument and apparently it has become unfashionable. They must have found some new gods here in Tbilisi. Will they be better than the old ones?

Рядом с археологическим музеем расположен монумент святой Нино. Святая Нино широко почитается в грузинском обществе, именно с ней связано принятие христианства в Грузии. Считается, что она пришла в Грузию из Каппадокии, чтобы обратить всех грузин, бывших тогда идолопоклонниками, в учение Христа.
