A good hotel with a decent European breakfast.
Of the disadvantages, except that there is no dryer for things in the room because the conditions are very hot and humid, at least you want to dry things before putting them in a suitcase.
I do not advise you to take a room for smokers (even if you are a smoker), it is easier to leave the hotel and smoke at the entrance on a bench.

The metro is 10 minutes away, the bus is 5 minutes away, the tram is 10 minutes away (i.e. the location is already excellent). A wild beach is within walking distance, but still there are no amenities on it, so it's better to kite beach or umm suqeim, jbr.
We took a room with breakfast. The menu is extensive, varied (but it does not change from day to day so often (we tried hash browns, for example, only on the last day, but it's not scary at all)).
The staff was attentive, knew English better than us, Russian was mute :)
The rooms were not cleaned very carefully. Perhaps because they never left a tip. Additional water or paper was provided without question. The only thing I didn't like was that they cleaned only in the morning.
For your money, the top in any case.

Very polite staff. The rooms, though not new, are always clean, as is the hotel itself. I noticed a small but pleasant trifle - a delicious smell everywhere! The breakfasts didn't change much, but they were always full. By the way, quite a convenient location - there are trams and metro nearby, you can get anywhere)

A wonderful hotel. I confirm the previous positive reviews. We lived for 10 days in the middle of March. I will not repeat myself, I will note those points that I was looking for earlier, but did not find:
1. English sockets in the room, 3 pcs. But, one of these outlets has two USB connectors. If you need to charge more than two devices at the same time, take an adapter.
2. The double room has a small sofa, which, when unfolded, turns into a double bed. This is in addition to the main beds. We had triple occupancy (2 adults + 1 child) on one double bed, so we were not supposed to have linen on this sofa. If they had known, they would have just taken it with them. I slept like this, the mattress on this sofa is soft, and the room is not cold.
3. By default, you are given 2 bottles of water and 2 sets of towels per room. I went and asked the reception to add something, because there were three of us. It didn't help. I haven't told the guy who cleaned our room directly yet. Immediately there were only three))
4. Wild beach, which, according to reviews, is 30 minutes on foot, is still closed (March 2024). We went there

We chose a hotel close to Al Sufouh Beach, however, upon arrival, this beach was TEMPORARILY CLOSED, the police did not allow us to go there, and there were no more open beaches nearby, so we took buses 88 and 8 to the beaches: Kite Beach or Um Secum 1,2 or by tram/metro to the Marina beach or JBR beach.
It takes 15 minutes to walk to the metro from the hotel, 7 minutes to the tram, and 5 (88) to 10 (8 and 88) minutes to the bus.
The hotel is conveniently located in the center of Dubai's tourist destinations, which could be easily and quickly reached by public transport (Dubai Mall, Marina, Burj Khalifa).
Hotel rooms
The room was old, but there were all the amenities, we lived on the 4th floor, there were discos on the 5th floor until 3 o'clock, but it didn't bother us much (we got tired and fell asleep), the air conditioner worked great, the room was cleaned every day, everything was clean, tidy, the only minus: there was no place to dry the laundry Except for the rope in the shower stall, the windows were closed and could not be opened.
Food (breakfast)
The breakfasts are delicious, varied and sufficient, you could have a hearty meal. At the entrance, sometimes they were not allowed to carry large bags, apparently so that they would not take food with them from the restaurant.
We had lunch in front of the hotel, across the street in the Uzbek restaurant Zira restorant, there is borscht, manti, pilaf, khachapuri, etc.
Several times we ordered the delivery of ready-made food from Russian restaurants using the Talabat application, delivered it to the reception, paid in cash. Ordered from restaurants: Fairy Tale, Stove.
Reception
The reception staff is very friendly, ready to help with any question, but you need to know at least a minimum level of English or be able to use an interpreter, no one speaks Russian.
Public transport from the hotel.
For trips to the city.It is necessary to purchase a silver card in the subway or at the tram station (the most convenient), you can use it both on the subway, buses, and tram, but with at least 7.5 dirh. Keep in mind that to travel by buses and trams, you need to attach your card to the validator 2 times when entering and exiting the transport, otherwise they will be charged at the full rate of 7.5 dirh. So, a one-way trip in one zone (2,3) costs 3 dirh., in others it is already 5 and 7.5.
Alcohol
There is an MMI store at the Internet City metro station where you can buy alcohol, but you need to go with a passport, because they will not issue a tourist license for alcohol. Or just look for MMI and American eastern stores on Yandex maps (hidden in appearance).
The hotel has a bar on the 1st floor at the reception, a glass of beer costs about 38 dirhams, on the 5th floor (where night parties take place) a glass of beer costs 50 dirhams.
* We bought an umbrella at a sports store because it was hot and sunny, but its packaging at the airport cost 30 dirhams.
In general, the hotel is comfortable to stay and convenient in terms of location to tourist places, it was necessary to get to the beaches, but this also did not affect the rest.

In general, it is good, but there are disadvantages.
Positive:
1. location - 25 minutes walk to the beach (5 minutes by taxi), 10 minutes to the metro. In the vicinity of Dubai Marina, Palm Jumeirah.
2. Pleasant and quiet area (it is not a tourist area, there are no crowds of tourists, but there are not very many shops and cafes. There are also no construction sites nearby, it is convenient to move around with a baby stroller.
3. Friendly staff, cleaning every day in a timely manner.
Minuses:
1. Dishes in the restaurant- plates are terrible. Of course, this is not the main thing, but! What's the problem with buying new plates and not embarrassing yourself? It's scary to pick up, they are so in bad condition!
2. Food for breakfast. We did not take lunch and dinner, but there was not enough porridge for breakfast (there was one time in a week). We went with a child and in his mind breakfast is necessarily porridge.
3. There is no place to dry wet clothes in the room. Generally. Plus, there is humidity in the room, clothes have no chance to dry out.
In general, we were satisfied, the hotel meets the description and reviews and met our expectations. If they buy more plates and add a couple of porridges for breakfast, it will be fine in general.

I definitely recommend it to those who expect to travel by transport - the metro and tram are close. The room is clean, there is tea, coffee, water. Excellent breakfasts. The gym is free of charge. Friendly staff. There is a shop and a cafe across the street. It's a pity that it's too far to the beach - about half an hour on foot... But you can use the transfer - at 10.30 there, at 15.30 back. There is also a transfer to Moll of the Emirates.

The air conditioner is poorly configured in the room, my brother has a cold.
The buffet is 3 stars in variety, but delicious, I'm not complaining.
But at lunch they wanted to make coffee from the machine for themselves - but no, for a fee.
As long as I fly, even in much smaller hotels, take coffee cookies for your health.

He fully justifies his 3* hotel. Tourist fee 90 aed. Wonderful bed linen. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly. We went to eat at Cafe Zira (Turkish and Uzbek cuisine). The menu includes solyanka, borscht, Kiev cutlets, etc., humane prices (100-120 AED for two). The products were taken from the Aswaaq supermarket. Bus stop 88 is nearby (3 stops to Madinat Jumeirah, the next one is Burj Al-Arab, then along the entire coast to Deira itself). Not far from the hotel (10 minutes on foot) there is a tram (ost. Knowledge Village) going to the Marina (to the JBR beach). Payment by metro card (3 aed). The Garden of Wonders (Miracle Garden, the cost of admission is 75 aed/person) can be reached by bus 105, which departs from the Moll of the Emirates metro station (bus station No. 5) every half hour. It goes on nonstop for 25 minutes. The fare is 5 aed. To the Dubai Frame (cost 52.5 AED / person), you can walk from the metro station Max in 15-20 minutes. We were satisfied with the hotel and its location.

You do not depend on shuttles, which are usually delivered from hotels to the beach, where there may not be enough space or it is not convenient in time. Opposite there are a dozen restaurants with various cuisines and a supermarket with a sufficient set of products. And the Internet City metro station is about a 10-minute walk away. There is a small fitness room. Wi-Fi is great in the room. The only thing is there is no pool on the roof.

I want to share my opinion about a family trip to Holiday Inn Express Dubai in August-September 2022.This is a hotel chain, there are specifics-the windows in the rooms do not open and there is no balcony, but there is an air conditioning system. Breakfast - fresh vegetables and fruits, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, cereals, pastries, juices, coffee and karak tea in a special kettle.The rooms are small.A bed with a good mattress, clean ironed linen and a sofa for a child are compactly placed in the room.The big advantages are the beach is within walking distance, near the metro, buses and trams. The employees at the reception solve all the issues with which you apply - everyone communicates in English.We are not picky tourists, we walk a lot, we do not sit in the room, so this hotel came to us, we will definitely come back to it.
