A very majestic and beautiful monument dedicated to Sheikh Zayed. The monument's well-groomed, plant-free, round-the-clock guarded territory attracts attention from afar. It is possible to fully appreciate the idea and skill of the authors of the monument only at night, when the portrait of the sheikh literally looms out of the "floating" crystals. There is a small cafe on the territory, benches for relaxation. Nearby is an interactive center where a film about the sheikh is being demonstrated. I recommend you to visit!

In the center of a small sanctuary garden (200*200 m), a well-maintained and guarded space, The Constellation installation is installed. This is a 30-meter high concrete frame, inside of which from a certain angle (and I managed to catch it!) We can see a three-dimensional portrait of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The monumental art object, created by American sculptor Ralph Helmick, was opened in 2018 in honor of the centenary of the founder of the UAE (1918-2004) as a tribute to the memory, respect and deep reverence of the leader who played an outstanding role in uniting the seven Arab Emirates into a single state in 1971. The unique work of art consists of 1,327 regular polyhedra with reflective elements (the so-called Platonic solids) suspended from 1,100 string cables at different heights and in a special order. They form five three–dimensional geometric shapes, which create the very constellation - a 3D portrait of the sheikh, the most expressive with evening lighting. Although at sunset, when we found ourselves near the Founder's Memorial, it looked very impressive against the background of the palace and framed by trees and shrubs (genus prosopis, in our opinion "mimosa"). An unusual and original, technical and technological, aesthetic and stylish monument. In addition, the memorial is also a cultural and educational center. At the Visitor Centre, you can take a break from the heat by watching an interactive exhibition and multimedia presentations/films about the sheikh's life and the creation of the memorial.
