The beautiful building was built by Karl Witigschlager Jr., a printer and bookseller. The family's bookstore and printing house were located here, which operated until 1937, when they went bankrupt. The Vitigschlager printing house played a significant role in the cultural life of Pancevo and Banat. German and other periodicals were actively printed here, as well as one of the first postcard productions in the region.
