Don't go on Friday. On this day, Zhuma Namaz. Visitors are allowed in after 14.30 and until a certain time. We rented a 150 dirhams ford focus car. Go somewhere 1.20, about 115km from Dubai. We arrived at 11.00 and had to go to the local shopping center. The children certainly SUFFERED a little. but this trip is worth it

Magical, fabulous, luxurious, grandiose! You can pick up hundreds or even thousands of epithets! And all this is the White Mosque of Sheikh Zayed! A mosque that struck me with its beauty, size and untold riches! A magnificent structure! It is unique in its origin!
Firstly: it is a showcase of the untold riches of Abu Dhabi. Initially, the mosque was conceived as the most grandiose structure dedicated to the beloved lord of all existing on Earth. The construction was carried out on an unprecedented scale. The mosque named after the Arab sheikh was built all over the world: marble – from Italy and China, carpets – from Iran, chandeliers – from Germany and Austria, engineers – from the USA, etc. It took more than 20 years to plan and build one of the most grandiose structures in the United Arab Emirates. The cost of the mosque is about 600 million Euros!!! It is interesting that earlier there was an oil fountain, which was drained and built such a grandiose and most beautiful mosque in the world!
Secondly: has two world records, is listed in the Guinness Book of Records. The largest handmade carpet in the world is located here .The carpet is woven in Iran. 1200 craftsmen worked on it for 2 years. Size 5627 m2, used 35 tons of wool and 12 tons of cotton. The cost of the carpet was more than 8 million US dollars. It was delivered from Iran on two planes. And the biggest chandelier in the mosque. The diameter is 9 meters, the weight is 12 tons. It took more than a million colored Swarovski crystals to make it.
