It's a good airport. Only Russians. Passport control is fast!
4 stars for checking baggage on departure. They don't inspect it at the entrance, you go straight to the registration, and then only personal inspection and hand luggage.

It's a great airport. Free parking, plenty of space, few people, all the formalities were completed in 10 minutes. There are McDonald's, coffee shops, and Dutch fries. It is located outside the city, but this is not a problem.

Clean, clear navigation, but there are nuances: a giant territory (actually, like Dubai itself: until you get from point A to point B, you will get tired). In the Arrivals sector, there is no infrastructure at all, only a taxi, boarding a bus, several metal rows of chairs and one shop. The Departures sector is a little more fun: there is a duty free with souvenirs and sweets, there is McDonald's and a coffee shop. I didn't find a business lounge. And I haven't seen a smoking place. In general, the airport is extremely unpopular among tourists from European countries, the taxi driver asked several times if we had definitely not confused the airport. In fact, you can even play football inside - no one but a meager handful of people from the charter. Inside, near the gate, there are also plenty of places to sit.

The new airport in Dubai is Al Maktoum. Due to the low workload, there are free parking lots, the absence of crowds of passengers. A fairly simple, unassuming design. But the sparseness adds advantages.
It has a McDonald's, a duty-free trade area, a window with staff for tax free registration (unlike vending machines everywhere installed in Dubai for tax free refunds). However, there are no business halls operating under loyalty programs with Russian banks.

I recently traveled through Al Maktoum International Airport in Dubai and was very pleased with my experience. The airport impresses with its modern terminals, which provide passengers with many amenities, including restaurants, cafes and shops.
The airport staff was very attentive and friendly, and they tried to help us with any questions. Thanks to the good organization and structure of the airport, we easily found the right terminal and took off on time.
I also appreciated the convenient location of the airport, which allowed us to quickly get to our hotel in the city center. Metro, buses and taxis were easily accessible at the airport, which made our trip very convenient.
Finally, I want to mention the security of Al Maktoum Airport. It has a high level of security and we felt safe throughout our journey.
Overall, I am very happy with my experience at Al Maktoum International Airport. It provides a high level of service, convenient location and security, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone planning to visit Dubai.

A new modern airport, where flights from Russia mainly arrive at the moment. There are practically no people in between flights. Everything is clean. Friendly staff. Customs can be passed without contact with customs officers - by scanning the passport if the retina of the eye has been removed. At the exit from the arrival area, there is a shop where you can buy bus and subway travel cards. The cost of the card is 25 dirhams. During the daytime, a bus runs every half hour to the Expo 2020 metro station, there is no problem to leave. There are not many food outlets, there is a Costa coffee shop and vending machines with drinks.

A small airport is located far from the city, so it's better if you go from here to live somewhere in Dubai Marina or neighboring areas, get closer. A huge plus is that at the airport they immediately distribute SIM cards of the local network with the Internet for a day, which helped a lot, there is also an opportunity to replenish the SIM card and choose a tariff convenient for you. Registration is fast, everything is simple and clear. I spent more than 12 hours at the airport waiting for my flight and I can say that this is the most calm and convenient airport I have been to. Unless taxi drivers are very annoying.
