Business lounge (or what is this booth in the departure area with a VIP sign?) it's pretty pointless here, there's no point in it. The common room is also quiet and the chairs are also soft))
A taxi from/to Holiday Inn Dubai al-Maktoum via the Uber app cost 20 dirhams, taxi drivers at the building ask from 30 to 100)) Many hotels (including ours) have a free transfer, do not forget to clarify this point))

The former cargo airport is making itself felt. In general, the airport is quite ordinary, clean and well-groomed, there is a quick passport control area if you have little luggage, which is very convenient. The dutifrey zone is represented by 2 shops and 3 cafes, there is not much to choose from. The prices at the airport are quite adequate, a liter of water in the device costs 3 dirhams, cola, potatoes and Americano at McDonald's costs 29 dirhams. The coffee machine (latte with cardamom) costs 6 dirhams.

The airport is good, but it is very far to get to it. If you get by public transport from the center, then it takes 1.5-2 hours to drive. First, take the metro to expo 2020 station (the final one), then take the F55 bus (you mean buses don't run often, you'll have to wait). If you take a taxi, prepare about 200 dirhams. There is a duty free. I flew from this airport on Victory to Vnukovo. The staff is responsive (I was late for check-in, they entered the check-in position. Special thanks to them for that!). If it wasn't for the location, then 5 stars.

Apparently airlines from other countries don't want to fly there because passengers don't want to fly there.

The airport, which is at the stage of formation (November 2023). Due to the fact that very few companies fly into it, it is not crowded at all, which can be a plus. On the other hand, most of it is in the process of construction, so it is not available. For example, you can only eat at McDonald's. There are, however, a couple more places with sweets and coffee, but you will not be able to have lunch there. There is one duty-free store.
The airport staff is not very efficient (judging from my experience). They shuffled my turn for registration 4 times. This will spoil your nerves a little, but it will not affect the real time of registration much.
Border control on arrival is quite fast. Passport control for departure from the country is fully automated - you will not even meet with real border guards.
The metro does not go to this airport. The only way to get there by public transport is to use a bus. Unfortunately, there is absolutely no luggage space on the bus. Therefore, the only option for passengers with luggage is a taxi.
