An unusual museum, I have not met such in Russia, we were without a tour and were satisfied, the price is 5 manats for children, 10 for adults. Two carpets were made in our presence. I liked the movie how silk is dyed with wax

The Carpet Museum in Azerbaijan is a very beautiful building with an exterior and very uncomfortable inside. The building has an oval shape in the form of a rolled carpet. Inside, the space is divided very banally into three floors. The exhibits are located at some distance from the visitors of the sleeping districts of the shape of the walls. Thus, the carpets are located far away from the visitors. The light in the museum is dimmed, so the exposition itself is difficult to perceive. Let's say there was also a carpet exhibition at the Heydar Aliyev Museum, and there it is extremely interesting and more accessible for detailed viewing of the exhibits. I think that you can not visit the carpet museum. I didn't take anything new out of it.

One of the must-visit places. From the outside, it looks like a half-rolled carpet. This shape makes it possible to view carpets from three sides.
The carpets are arranged in such a way that we see them from the origins to the modern style. If desired, you can ask for a guide.going up to the 2nd floor, we can observe the carpet weaving technique live. It is this fact that attracts the largest number of tourists.

It's a good museum. It's better to take an excursion to listen to the history, there are even carpets from the 16th century.

This place is a must-visit. If you have never been interested in carpets , you will be interested in them. We were with children of different ages from 11 to 17 years old, everyone was interested. Be sure to take the tour, it is not expensive 12 manats (700 rubles) , it is worth it, according to the regulations 1 hour of a fascinating story. In fact, we received 1.5 hours , special thanks to the guide Ainur , it is clear that the person knows and loves what he is talking about. We bought a carpet in Baku, we were technically well prepared and explained how to do it correctly. The museum has 3 floors , at the time of our visit in October , 2 were working . We will definitely go to Baku again.

It's not my thing, strictly populism and propaganda of national wealth, poor weavers, to be honest, there are so many chronic diseases from this process...

Actually, it's a bit boring, there's not enough interactive content for a modern museum.
For the visitor, the immersion in the subject is barely perceptible, not in the topic of carpets.
But it's inexpensive, and the building is cool.

the original view of the museum. The interior is simple inside, although the expositions are decent. several carpets are a real work of art. there are no inscriptions in Russian, only English and Azerbaijani. The guide in Russian (for an additional fee) got either lazy, or had a bad command of the language, ran through the entire exposition running, without much detail. the ticket price is 15 manat(750r).

The small museum has two floors, but they are very small. And the second floor is needed to look at the same carpets as on the first floor, only from above. Very small exposure, unfortunately. !!! NOT A SINGLE WORD IN RUSSIAN!! NOWHERE!! And this despite the fact that almost all visitors are Russian - speaking !! Who brings you income??? I think this is a terrible disrespect to my tourists!! Disappointed with everything!! Although I dreamed of visiting the museum , but the whole visit took at most an hour, with a thorough inspection.

The museum has a large collection of handmade carpets. Carpets woven over the last few centuries are collected here. You can only take photos for free on your smartphone, and you will have to put your camera in a storage room.
Entrance fee: 10 manats.

The museum is impressive starting from the building itself, it is decorated in the form of a carpet😅 It looks very cute and impressive.
And the carpets themselves are just a work of art - so many styles, patterns, compositions, ornaments, which, as we learned there, are connected with the region where these carpets were made.
If you are ever in Baku, I highly recommend visiting this place.
There is a discount for students of any country, a ticket will cost only 3 manats.
I do not understand the claims of many that there were no inscriptions in Russian, but only in English and Azerbaijani. And what exactly did you expect? English is an international language, and Azerbaijani is the native language of this wonderful country. In addition, you could take a guided tour with a guide who explained everything in Russian wonderfully.

The museum is wonderful! I was surprised that the dragon depicted on the patterns symbolizes water and fertility, and not fire. The blue color of Baku carpets is the color of the sea. There are exhibits of traditional women's clothing, copper utensils.

Two of the three floors are open. Well, carpets and rugs. Well, the ancients. But it doesn't catch on. On the 2nd floor, a lady is weaving a carpet. It's probably interesting. There is a little bit of costume history. For me, it's all dull and boring. The carpet exhibition at the Heydar Aliyev Center is much more interesting

Beautiful antique carpets.interesting. But I didn't like that the expositions are only in Azerbaijani and English. Russian russians are bringing tons of money to this country, but there was no place for the Russian word on the sign. And the prices in the souvenir shop are off the scale. It's not very pleasant. The building itself is interesting in its facade.

It 's not a bad museum . But we were very unlucky with the guide - she barely said something under her breath according to the script: "here we have this, and here it is - let's move on. This is the end of the exhibition." Everything about everything took 20 minutes . At a time when another guide was simultaneously telling two women with such gusto and with so many facts that they wanted to listen without ceasing ( they were very upset . Probably not worth visiting without a guide , nothing special

If you want to see a carpet from your childhood, then you will definitely find it here. Russian Russian is a pretty cool museum with an interesting design, but there is no information in Russian (although there are a lot of Russian tourists coming to the country), headphones were not offered at the entrance, so we don't know if there is something in Russian there. The entrance cost 10 manats, the contents of the museum fully justify the cost.
