Visiting the Astana-Baiterek Monument was one of the most vivid impressions of our trip around Astana. This amazing monument is a symbol of the capital of Kazakhstan and attracts the attention of tourists from all over the world.
Bayterek is a tall metal structure that seems to rush into the sky. Its unusual design and bright lighting make it noticeable from anywhere in the city. Climbing to the observation deck, located at an altitude of 97 meters, you can enjoy a stunning view of Astana. From a bird's eye view, you can see all the main attractions of the city, including the Presidential Palace, the Hazret Sultan Mosque and the Palace of Independence.
Inside the tower there is a museum dedicated to the history and culture of Kazakhstan. Here you can learn a lot about the traditions and customs of the Kazakh people, as well as how the country has developed over the centuries. The museum also has interactive exhibits that allow visitors to get to know the history of the country for themselves.

We thought to see the night city, but we only saw ourselves in the reflection of the windows) Conclusion: it is better to arrive in the daytime. We planned to return the next morning, but at the exit we were told that starting tomorrow the visit would be suspended due to repairs (our visit: April 2024). There is a small souvenir shop inside, perhaps something else, but everything was closed during our visit.

I visited Nur Sultan, I was impressed by the Baiterek monument! I can say that there are stunning panoramas of the city from here! It was built in an original style on the left bank of the Ishim River. According to official data, the height of the tower is 105 meters, the diameter of the ball is 22 meters!!! It seemed to me that the tower looked like the crown of a huge tree! Cafes are set up below, aquariums are installed, and a gallery with paintings. In the middle there are panoramic glass elevators leading up. At the very top there is a ball in which there is a panoramic hall and a bar. The glass is slightly tinted there.

There is a bright light inside, and then the spotlights on the rays on the top turn on, which shine directly into the windows, which is why the city is not visible at all, although there is something to see - they do not save on the illumination of the city.
Maybe you can see better in the daytime, but there is no desire to check)

There is a huge queue for a photo with the president's hand. Even if you are not interested, keep in mind, because they may not let you in at 21.00, because there are a lot of people upstairs, just in this queue.
The city really lacks a good adapted observation deck, especially for the evening.

We were in Astana in August 2024. They did not get to the tower on the first day, there was a long queue, they did not stand. We came the next day in the morning for the opening, there were people, but few. We went inside, there was a ticket office on the ground floor, bought a ticket and took the elevator to the top. During the ascent, nothing much is visible from the elevator, because the construction fittings were blocking everything. On the top floor, there is a palm print of their First President, we did not go there, we went for a ride. The view from above is very beautiful, especially on their flowerbeds below, they look like carpets from above.

Like all new buildings in Astana, it is very beautiful. A huge tower stands on the boulevard, visible from afar, a golden ball on top glows in the night. Inside, we buy a ticket and take the elevator to the top. There is a great view from the ball, at night you can't take your eyes off at all, how beautifully everything glows. If you climb up the ladder inside the ball, you can touch Nazarbayev's handprint in gold and take a photo. There is a queue there, mostly local tourists from other cities of Kazakhstan. If it's your first time in Astana, be sure to go.
