an incredible stunningly beautiful majestic mosque 🥰 you will feel like you are in a fairy tale. you need to see it both in daylight and at sunset. only muslims will understand the restrictions regarding appearance. the mosque is active, people pray in it, so visitors must cover their awrah. girls are allowed in only in abayas - you can buy them there or rent them. many different strict rules, but it's worth it!
Must-see! It is very beautiful and grandiose at the same time very refined. It is better to go on a weekday, taking an abaya with you. In the evening it is especially beautiful with lighting.

It is a very beautiful and majestic place.
The scope of everything.
Starting from the way to the mosque through an underground corridor, ending with the largest crystal chandeliers weighing 12 tons and huge carpets on the floor.
I advise everyone to visit this place, I really liked the decoration of the halls, ornaments made of semi-precious stones, chandeliers, carpets, there is something to see.
Be careful, there is a dress code.
1. Clothes should not be translucent, the body should not be visible.
2. Men should have their knees covered.
3. Women are much stricter, the skirt is up to the ankles, the head is covered.
But you can rent or buy local clothes, either from a guide or at the entrance to the mosque.

One of the most beautiful modern buildings in the world. Majestic, breathtaking! I recommend visiting in the late afternoon, before closing. There are many times fewer people. There is a chance to consider everything. And take pictures without crowds.
Admission is free. But the dress code is very strict. For men - closed knees and shoulders. For women, a floor-length dress or trousers is mandatory. Ankle covers.

A big, beautiful and gorgeous mosque! We were very impressed! Especially at sunset to watch it and you can see how it looks during the day and after sunset! Inside, it's generally royal!
It is also not far from the aquarium, you can get there by public transport, we advise you!
The control system there is worse than the president's, it's just tin!
Tips:
Men have closed knees and shoulders, without drawings and inscriptions on clothes. Lighters are being taken away, perhaps something else.
For women, everything is closed in the hem and the hands are closed by the hand, otherwise they will not be allowed to buy clothes there. You can walk around and find it for 45 dollars.
Route. The mosque is accessed from the underground shopping complex. There is also registration for admission for free. There is no need to go to the mosque, everything is underground. After registering the passage at one end, go to the checkpoint at the other end, for inspection and inspection 4 times, and after 1-2 kilometers of the tunnel, fortunately on the travolator, you can climb. Photos are strictly from the places of photographing, but you can also take them from other places. If there are gestures or something else with poses, the guard will take you out and force you to delete the photo (and from the trash too) or simply require you to delete the photo.

A unique place! A must-visit! Majesty, spiritual purity, austerity, innocence... You can describe this mosque for a long time. Incredibly beautiful white marble interspersed with drawings. It is impossible to see enough. It is both expensive and quiet at the same time. I was surprised by the entrance system: through the shopping center underground, through a long, long tunnel with escalators. A very strict dress code, you can't cheat, and why behave so disrespectfully in a country with strict morals. While we were moving by bus from the last location to the mosque, the guide told us the story of the creation of this interesting place, gave abayas to women who did not have their arms and legs covered. Security is just on every meter, it won't work to sit down for a photo or touch something extra. Impressions of beauty will last for a long time 🙏

We were on a tour of Abu Dhabi. We really liked it and it's convenient that we don't have to get there ourselves. There was enough time for the examination. Now I know how to make the most beautiful photos on Instagram))) The guide provided us with abayas (in size and height) - a separate interesting experience, we liked it)))) The mosque itself is stunningly beautiful! A huge well-groomed territory, floors, walls and columns lined with different types of marble. Amazingly beautiful chandeliers and carpets. At first it was a bit insulting that they were not allowed into the halls - you can take photos only from the doors, but if you do not limit the flow, tourists will trample all the carpets! - there are a lot of people!!! I got the impression that this is a kind of Temple of Friendship, everyone can come in to admire, but you need to respect each other. I came across the inscriptions in Russian several times, very nice. Special admiration for the entrance to the complex - it tells how the mosque was designed and built. We recommend it!

The beautiful mosque was visited 2 times: in the daytime and in the evening. An ordinary tourist place, with its own infrastructure, cafes and shops. The mosque itself is a delight in terms of construction, the large territory is well-maintained and modern. The center of the "tourist pilgrimage", although prayers are read, there is a feeling of emptiness and "not being prayed for" of the place.

It's beautiful like in a fairy tale. Like in the fairy tale about Aladdin. The scale, neatness and cleanliness are impressive. It is worth visiting once
It is absolutely necessary for girls to hide in full. Very strict appearance control. Several girls didn't miss it. But in the shops at the entrance you can buy an abaya for 45 dirhams. Sellers offer to buy beautiful ones for 100-200 dirhams. If the goal is only to go in and see, do not be fooled, say that the Abaya is only for 45 dirhams, they will silently sell the "ugly" one))

It is a very grandiose and beautiful building. I can immediately recommend you to visit, if possible. You can take dozens or even hundreds of photos. But, I especially want to draw the attention of those travelers who are planning an excursion to this mosque: multiple control of your appearance!! This applies especially to the female sex, I recommend that you definitely have a headscarf with you, clothes should cover almost the entire body and head. I'd rather say what can be left open: the face and hands. That's it! Yes, and also, especially in the summer, female girls keep in mind that in transparent or semi-transparent dresses, trousers, blouses, etc., they will simply not be allowed into the mosque or they will have to buy something in the clothing stores available there. But the prices, as you know, will bite.
For general development, for touching the amazing beauty, I highly recommend visiting this mosque.
Especially for those who are vacationing in Abu Dhabi. You can take a taxi, which has 3-4 cars parked near the hotel, payment by the meter, in fact. And in the same way, go to your hotel or to another place from the parking lot near the mosque

Very beautiful!!such a scale, such luxury. The territory is beautiful, everything is well maintained, clean, modern. We didn't get to the square itself, we came at the wrong time. Everything is very strict there! When they were taking pictures, the wind blew away the scarf and exposed 3 ml on the neck, a guard immediately ran up. I thought I was going to be stabbed with a pitchfork there. In general, you need to dress very strictly, so that only your eyes stick out. Read all the rules on their official website, you also need to register there (save the QR code)
There is a separate corridor for tourists. We queued for about an hour (all the aisles, checks, the path itself), but it was worth it.

The mosque was visited in April 2024.We got there by taxi. The entrance to the mosque is convenient, the taxi driver drove just to it.It is necessary to go down to the area of food courts and souvenir shops, where you need to register using a QR code, registration itself is not complicated, everything is clear, but in English.Further, if you have already purchased clothes in advance, you can go to the security area. The dress code for women is very strict, the dress should be long, the arms are closed, the head is covered with a scarf. You can buy an Abaya dress there at the same cost of 45 AED, or rent it for about 2000 Russian rubles, sellers will pick up everything quickly enough. Then, after the inspection, you should go inside, you can move on foot or with the help of a travelator. On the territory where the mosque itself is located, you can take photos and shoot videos. You can get back by bus.Everything is quite well organized and thought out.At the exit, before the start of the souvenir shops, there are restrooms on the left, where you can change clothes and put yourself in order. The impressions of visiting this place were wonderful, I recommend it.

SHEIKH ZAYED MOSQUE IN ABU DHABI: important information on visiting
1. Working hours:
on Fridays from 09:00 to 12:00 and from 15:00 to 22:00;
on other days from 09:00 to 22:00.
During Ramadan, the working hours change, you can find out the opening hours on the official website
➡️ Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center.
2. Entrance to the mosque. To get to the mosque, you need to enter the glass dome (photo 2), take the escalator down to the underpass (there are cafes and shops in it), turn left, go to the end of the passage and then you will get to the first checkpoint.
3. Registration. Before visiting the mosque, you must register electronically. You can do this in advance on the mosque's website
➡️ Online Access Pass or on-site using a special terminal (from the escalator to the right, photo 3). It takes only a couple of minutes and as a result you get a QR code that needs to be shown at the inspection.
4. The cost of visiting the mosque: free of charge.
5. Dress code. There is a certain very strict dress code (photo 4). For men, these are trousers and a T-shirt with sleeves. Women need to cover their legs to the ankles, hands to the wrists and cover their heads with a scarf (at the same time, clothes should not be tight and transparent). If your clothes do not fit, then next to the entrance you can buy an abaya for women, and a candura for men (clothes are no longer given out here for free). The cost can be viewed in photo 6.
6. Checkpoints. At the first checkpoint, the conformity of clothing is checked, as well as the presence of registration (QR code). Then you need to go through the second checkpoint with a thorough inspection (as at the airport). If you find things during the inspection that are forbidden to be brought into the mosque, then they will need to be deposited and get a number.
We had to hand over the microphones. As it turned out, video recording with a voice on the territory of the mosque is strictly prohibited. You can only shoot videos in silence. We also saw that other visitors were forbidden to bring food, drinks and even toys.
7. Photos. You can take photos on the territory of the mosque only in specially designated places. The security guards closely monitor compliance with the rules.
P.S. Interesting facts about this mosque, as well as its photos, can be found in our social networks:

It is immediately clear that the UAE was not at all limited in construction costs. I recommend definitely visiting even if you are not of the Muslim faith. They were in June 2024. You can get there by one bus both from the airport and from the city. It is this bus that stops at the building where you will be directed by security. Going down the escalator, you will get to the shopping center. Shops, fast food, tickets are here, or rather, registration. If you have a local internet connection, scan the quarkode. If not, there is an employee who will take a ticket at the counter, you will take a picture of it and present it to the security at the entrance. Women get ready - they won't let them in with their arms and ankles open. They will send you to buy chlamydia. The minimum is 45 aed. Then follow the signs, security control, and enter the mosque. All the space available to tourists is fenced, there is security around, it is impossible to go into the yard, it is impossible to go on the carpet. You can walk along the colonnade, take a picture of the prayer hall, and go out. It is also not allowed on the territory. The exit is in the same place, bus or taxi stop..
The mosque is new, white, inlaid with colored stone, very beautiful chandeliers, in general, a must see.

It's definitely worth going! You will get beautiful photos. An unreal fairy tale, like in Aladdin. There are a lot of tourists, but the routes are made so that you can take pictures without a bunch of people in the frame. One of the best places in Abu Dhabi.
In general, we walked around the mosque in 10-15 minutes, there are fenced paths for tourists: you walk through a narrow space along the main hall and that's it. Don't go there, don't go here. There are a lot of guards, cameras everywhere.
They are allowed to walk along the courtyard and along the inner prayer hall, which now has the former largest chandelier in the world and still the largest carpet in the world (in Soviet apartments there were the same, only smaller))))
Practical points: admission is free, but you need to get a QR code on the official website of the mosque: a couple of minutes and you're done. You apply it at the points of passage and then the guards ask you to show it twice, it's unclear why, if you can't pass without them.
Clothing: legs and arms are completely covered + a headscarf for women. Otherwise they won't let you in.
You can get there by taxi, tell the taxi driver great Mosk Sheikh Zayed and you don't have to pay a lot of money for the tour. The entrance is through a glass dome by elevator or escalator down, there is a shopping center. You can't enter the mosque itself down the street, only through the underpass from the shopping center (there are signs everywhere, just don't get lost). They check the bags, the mosque's website says how to dress and what not to bring.
There are no worshippers there, and no icons either. In principle, this is one hall, with a carpet and several chandeliers. It feels like it was made for tourists and that's it. Locals don't come here to pray. There are a lot of tourists, especially Chinese, because admission is free. There are almost no Chinese in other places in the UAE where you need to pay. We arrived at 10.30 am, we hardly stood in line, maybe a couple of minutes at the entrance checking the qr code and a couple of minutes checking bags through a metal detector. Later, they say that you can stand for an hour.

Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Mosque, one of the largest and most beautiful mosques in the world. It is named in honor of the greatest and most revered Sheikh of the UAE. The most beautiful mosque is made of white marble, inside the courtyard is lined with colored stones in the form of paintings. In the prayer room there are huge chandeliers with Swarovski crystals, natural stones, covered with gold leaf. A huge handmade carpet is very impressive, which was brought by plane in parts and assembled into one single whole, it took 2 years to manufacture, and costs 8.2 million dollars. Everything is very beautiful, and most importantly, accessible to tourists. Of course, to get into the mosque, you need to go through a serious dress code. The UAE is a fabulous country in the middle of the desert, with its own customs and way of life.

The mosque itself is very beautiful and definitely must-visit. At the same time, it is worth visiting both in the afternoon and in the evening - it looks different. It is also very easy to do this without a tour group.
I have been to the mosque many times over the years. And every time the order of passage to the mosque changes.
At the moment, in order to get to the territory quickly, you need to register on the site and specify the time of the visit. At the same time, we were 1.5 hours late for the time, but we were told that this was not a problem and the main thing was that we had a QR code.
You can enter the mosque with a certain attire - the head and legs of the female part of the guests are covered, i.e. you can walk in trousers and a headscarf. Not in a skirt below the knees anymore.
Previously, a simple but cute hijab was issued at the entrance. Photos in such clothes certainly turn out to be much more atmospheric. Now everyone provides their own passage by themselves. There are a huge number of shops with hijabs at the entrance to the mosque. I took the simplest one, but it looked very good. The main thing is that it should be up to the ground and cover your legs. Lighters and cigarettes are taken away at the entrance.
The entrance to the mosque itself is free.
Summary: to enter, you need to have a QR code and closed clothes. leave lighters and cigarettes at home.
The passage to the mosque is through a free-standing dome, and then you go through all the points along the subway to the mosque itself.
