The rooms were cleaned normally, the standard rooms in building 5 are not very new, especially the bathroom. But everything worked. Disadvantage The food is monotonous, spaghetti, mashed potatoes from local potatoes, beans, rice, soups are only two types. Pickled vegetables. There was meat, but there was often not enough in the evening. There is a lot of grapefruit from fruits. There are few watermelons, pineapple and bananas. We bought the fruits ourselves. There were not enough fresh tomatoes and fresh vegetables. In bars, the drinks are normal, they pour as much as you ask. Into any container. ADVICE! Take extra T-shirts, shorts, slates, baseball caps, sundresses, scissors, perfumes, painkillers. You can exchange all this for fruits, cigars, rum and use it as a tip. We had a rest at the end of October 2021. The hotel is good. A gorgeous ocean and a nice beach. The staff is friendly. Regarding nutrition, I concluded for myself that eggs are wonderfully cooked, and in any form. All other products are brilliantly spoiled. It feels like shrimp is being cooked, then rice is being cooked in them, then pasta, and then they make sauce out of it. Seafood is minimal, despite the presence of the ocean. Fruits appeared in the dining room, in my opinion, those that remained after the beach, where they are sold by the hotel security. Unlimited drinks at the hotel and on the beach. We were at this hotel from 11/16/12 to 11/30/12. I am shocked, this is the fourth time in Cuba and this is the worst hotel I have been to. The most delicious thing for breakfast is a boiled egg, which was not enough for everyone. About lunch, there is no lunch at all, there is a barbecue on the street where meat (chicken and pork) is made on Mongol, it is said loudly, they spoil either burnt or raw, not salty and not peppery. It's not possible to eat, the first is just warm water, I'm not kidding. Of the salads, these are cabbage, carrots and beets. For dinner, all that's left of the barbecue. I don't understand at all what we paid such money for? The four-star hotel is cheaper than this three-star hotel by 80 t.r . it came out. But this hotel was recommended to us. There are no napkins, toilet paper is torn, there are no normal dishes either. Cut glass bottles are green and white in place of glasses. Bed linen has not been changed in two weeks, towels have been changed three times during the whole time. Although we left tips, there are no glasses in the room either. Only ice cream and pure rum were delicious, they also don't know how to make cocktails from the word at all. In short, I put 5 + only overseas, it's just a miracle how good it is. If it wasn't for him, the vacation would have been ruined, and so you start swimming and all the negativity disappears. I've never written reviews before. This is the first one. There was milk, a variety of food, even seafood appeared and we healed, as we had not lived before for 5 days. I'm not saying anything about rum, it's in abundance there, by the way, drink Santiago. In general, we were there for the rest of the rest, the inspectors wandered around and our diet became more or less acceptable. The ocean is fire, just like in a swimming pool, transparent and very warm. The aunt from the cigar store usually lives where you book resticks, it rarely happens on the spot. And yes, take sauces with you, they are not there from the word at all, neither in shops nor in the hotel, the food is bland and creepy. Have a good rest)

Vacationed with my husband at this hotel in February 2023. I'll make a reservation right away, I went abroad for the first time, so there's nothing to compare it with, I'm not a picky consumer, but!!! I agree with the reviews of others about the food. There seems to be a lot of it, but there is nothing to eat. We made one interesting conclusion: Cubans do not know how to cook at all, or simply do not want to cook delicious. The only delicious things were ice cream and cakes, everything else is worth a C grade. There is no choice of soups, for two weeks of rest for lunch they gave something like gazpacho (very much diluted tomato juice), and soup, which we could not determine what it was: there were large pieces of everything floating there and potatoes, and cabbage, and eggplants, and tomatoes, and beans, sometimes we came across meat. There was a feeling that "I made him out of what was there." Grilled meat and fish at lunch is something!!! Heavily fried, dry pieces, there is no normal sauce, it is impossible to eat. Salads are also such that you won't understand what's in this salad. From seafood, rubber lobsters were given once on February 14. Moreover, lobsters are a separate story, they were tried in many places when they went on excursions, they were delicious only at a local restaurant in Varadero. The rest are all like rubber. As for the service and the hotel room. The room, of course, is not new, the furniture is quite old, the TV is 1 RF channel, but considering that we only slept in the room, all this is not critical, and did not leave a negative. But about the service: even when the towels were changed, they were already stained, as were the bed linen (it was changed once, and the pillowcase was put inside out, I don't know what kind of joke our maid had). At the same time, tips were left every day, but in my opinion, even the floors were never wiped in the room. In general, the impression of the service is the same ... (((( Of the advantages: a large territory near the hotel, quite well-groomed, clean. The beach is also quite clean, despite the fact that there are no urns, and plastic cups with cigarette butts are thrown directly on the sand, but there is always an uncle who collects garbage. Sun beds and umbrellas were always available, you can ride catamarans, kayaks and sailboats, this is included in the price. There are quite a few teenage waiters in the dining room, so they often could not wait for coffee or wine, which they themselves could not pour. It is clear that they are trying, but very clumsily)) We can say that there were no fruits: unripe pieces of pineapple, watermelon and papaya. There were bananas a few times, and that's it... As one of the hotel employees told us, there is a crisis in Cuba right now. We were dissatisfied with our tour operator, who, unfortunately, does not have information, although by the nature of his activity he should have informed us about the real state of affairs according to calculations in Cuba. Before departure, they sent a memo that all cash payments are only in euros, in fact they take both dollars and euros, and in Cuba this currency goes one to one. That is, the standard price of a cocktail in the bars of Varadero and Havana is 5 USD (dollars or euros anyway). We exchanged only euros and eventually lost about 15 thousand rubles, since in fact we could have paid there in dollars. It's a shame. On the spot, we also exchanged local pesos, which then went to pay tips and to pay at local restaurants, which accepted them as payment. All excursions, souvenirs, rum and cigars in the shops are paid in dollars and euros. For information, Legendario rum was taken at a rum store in Havana for 10 euros, it was not seen on sale anywhere else, including in dutik. In general, the impressions of Cuba itself remained positive, but this was influenced, of course, by the fact that the stunning ocean, like a live tour, really liked discovery and Cayo Largo Island, I recommend not to take an excursion to Havana, but to negotiate at the hotel with someone from the vacationers and go yourself, cheaper and it is much more informative, you can independently plan where to go.

We vacationed at Starfish in July 2021. The ocean is beautiful, warm, there were always enough sun beds. I liked the territory of the hotel, it was clean, everything was green, palm trees. You can choose from food, there are few vegetables, watermelon is not sweet from fruits, papaya. The mango was running out fast. We lived in the main building, building 6. The room has old plumbing, rusty fixtures. The toilet did not work, they said it often happens and there is no equipment now. They took off the roof and repaired it themselves. They cleaned so-so, for 11 days the pastel linen was not changed once, the palotentse was changed only once. Two days before departure, two bottles of rum were stolen from the room. At the reception, the girl pretended that she did not understand us. The head of security took me to the guest service. They said they'd figure it out. The next day, we contacted the representative of anexture, but she also called and said they would sort it out and inform you. So we left, and no one was going to figure it out, apologize, explain something.

A 3-star hotel in Cuban Varadero. I came here after 3 days in Havana. When I visited, it was called "Club Amigo+" and had a persistent atmosphere of boarding houses from the Soviet era in the so-so... 70s. Now, judging by the video on the Internet, the hotel has undergone a grandiose restructuring-alteration and the hotel has acquired modern features, although the general appearance and interior details are still recognizable. I was right after the famous Hurricane Katrina, which touched Liberty Island with its "wing" and from which New Orleans has not yet recovered. When I was there, the hotel was half empty (or full?) - the beach is free in both directions, and the food (all inclusive) is for slaughter and "for that guy". I will not say that there were pickles, but seafood and meat in abundance. The room was shabby, but not "killed" either - everything worked. I only washed and slept in the room - I spent the rest of my time traveling around the island and on the magnificent ocean: catamaran rides, volleyball and ping-pong games, and of course I did not miss the endless Daiquiri and Mojito at the beach bar. So I boldly recommend the hotel - quietly, sincerely and angrily.

We had a rest with my husband from June 24 to July 9, I really liked everything!We were in the 4th building, on the 2nd floor.The only drawback was that there was no elevator. During cleaning, all towels were always changed, including beach towels, linen was changed 3 times in 14 days.The wallet and all valuables were in the bedside table, no one stole anything.They always left tips, gifts for girls (creams, masks, varnishes, chewing gum).The food is the same every day.My husband was always hungry, but I had enough to eat 1 or 2 times a day.The most delicious are the breakfasts.Of the fruits, only watermelon, mango, papaya and melon (there were a couple of times).I didn't see any fresh vegetables there. We were in Cuba for the first time, the trip cost 253,000 for two from Moscow for 9 nights. For this money, we received disgusting food, a complete lack of service and an old, dirty room. In 9 days, we had 2 cleanings, and towels were changed upon request. Fish heads, fried pork fat, pumpkin puree and overgrown cucumbers in water were served for dinner. It is impossible to enter a dinner restaurant without closing your nose, the fetid smell causes vomiting. The only option is to grab a mango and run. Wi-Fi is free, works throughout the territory by code. The beach is nice. Sun beds, towels and a bar are available. The ocean is incomparable, but it has nothing to do with the hotel.

Of the advantages, this is a good beach, food more or less, but for this money something better was expected. The hotel is 3 stars, but many say that it doesn't mean anything. From here there are queues every day: for food, in bars, on the beach. Accordingly, in order to eat, you have to stand in line, first for fruits, then for cheese, etc. The beach, the sun beds are busy, there are not enough of them. The food is monotonous, there is not enough of it. They can't cook meat. The fish is over-dried, there are no vegetables, fruits are only 3 types and not mature. The food is abundant and not tasty. The Internet is generally a separate story. Why did they come up with a limited admission, for which the tourist would go to the reception and extend it every few hours, it is not clear why this is, but clearly not for the convenience of the tourist! The staff does not understand that when approached with a request, you need to pay attention to the person, and not chat with a colleague or count money. They make you wait everywhere, and this is not a purely Cuban flavor, this is a lack of knowledge about basic etiquette. To sum up: the hotel is not ready for such a large number of guests without all the problems. It doesn't pull 3 stars, it's obviously not worth the money we paid.

We rested at this hotel in October 2021 and took a ticket through anex tour for 165,000 for 12 days. The rooms are not very standard, the air conditioning is just a grille in the ceiling without temperature adjustment. It is better to take bungalows, they are much more decent, and the surcharge on the spot for 12 days was 78,000 rubles and the tour operator had about 10,000 rubles. Everything else is fine, the hotel territory is large, a good beach, a wonderful beach bar, everything is included. The food is a modest buffet at the end of the vacation begins to tire of its monotony, but in general it is a solid four. There is no Internet connection in the hotel, it constantly crashes, it does not load anything in general, there is almost no Internet, you can only use it if absolutely necessary. Despite the disadvantages, a beautiful beach, the weather and a cheerful atmosphere will help you spend your vacation usefully and positively.
