It is the only monument preserved on the territory of Armenia, and indeed in the entire post-Soviet space, dating back to the pre-Christian era. The Garni fortress was first mentioned by Tacitus in the first half of the 1st century AD.

A very picturesque place, a temple on the edge of a gorge, surrounded by mountains. entrance is paid, not expensive. You can purchase an on-site guided tour for an additional fee. The approximate visit time is 30 minutes, an hour maximum, and there is nothing to do there for longer.

If you are not impressed by the photos, believe me that they lie and hide 90% of the charm of this place. I take any guest of Yerevan to Garry and to the Symphony of Stones. And every time it's a discovery of splendor. Every time, the surprise of more than the memory remembers

An unusually beautiful place, there are not many people in early November. Entrance is paid, there are excursions. There is a toilet inside.
On the downside, the information signs are almost burned out. It would be nice to update them

I love ancient artifacts. Echoes of Greek greatness. It is not clear why there is only one temple and where the rest of the buildings are. There must have been a statue inside once. The acoustics, by the way, are awesome inside. We invited duduk musicians to perform for us. Aesthetic ecstasy🫶

Delight! A must-visit. An hour's drive from the airport. The structure is impressive, huge blocks of perfect machine surface treatment, laid with a seam of less than 1 mm. The views are magnificent, here you can spend half a day in peace.

Unexpectedly, there is an ancient temple 38 km from Yerevan. There are also baths with the most interesting views. We were with a guide, so we got into the atmosphere, soaked up the information, and looked at the dragonstones. If you drive yourself, it will be unclear without an audio guide what, by whom and why was built in the 1st century AD.

Beautiful location, I was lucky enough to visit there at sunset. Entrance is paid 1500 AMD per person, plus parking 200 AMD. We were in a non-tourist season (the end of March), so there were almost no people. The temple stands on the edge of the mountain, and the views open in all directions. You can also see it from the bottom of the Symphony of Stones, it stands so lonely and majestic, it resembles ancient Greek buildings

The only architectural monument that has been preserved on the territory of Armenia, dating back to the era of paganism and Hellenism. It was built in the 1st century AD. The temple is made of basalt. It was destroyed in the earthquake of 1679. It was restored from the ruins in the 70s of the twentieth century.

It is a very interesting place, it rather resembles some kind of Greek temple. In reality, it turned out to be much smaller than it seemed to us in the photo. Next to the temple there is a park area where you can hide from the heat by walking under the trees. It is better to come with a guide, it will be difficult to understand something on your own. The entrance ticket is 1500 AMD. There are magnificent views of the mountains from the observation decks. It is also nice to have drinking sources

It's a cool place. If you want to find yourself somewhere in Athens, then come here. A place steeped in history. It was interesting to find out the whole history of the place, how and by whom it was created. Why is it left. There is nothing special to see in the temple itself, but the place is excellent. There is a ruined church next to the temple. Then the grape fields of the locals.
It was interesting to see the carved Atlas, the steps and the preserved Arabic calligraphy prayer. Very cool
