Nice hotel. The room is small but cozy. A king-size bed with a good orthopedic mattress and excellent linen. In the second room there is a small sofa, a bed for a child and a wardrobe. The bathroom space is not very comfortable (for people with non-standard dimensions, this can create a problem). Room cleaning is at a high level. A separate respect for breakfast is a very varied menu and very tasty dishes. In general, the feeling of staying at the hotel is the most pleasant. Many thanks to everyone who makes the stay of the guests so comfortable.

The hotel is sooo old, the audibility is 100%. The usual breakfasts are sometimes warm, sometimes cold at 7 a.m. (apparently they were cooked a day ago).
Who goes in the middle of June, attention!! On June 16, near the hotel in OTKRITIE Park. the music BEATS until 5 a.m. from 22.00. And so it goes on for several days for sure. It is impossible to sleep, the music is just like in the room, although I lived on the top floor. All requests at the reception to move at least to the other side are useless. Complaints about the music were received from ALL the guests of the hotel, there was no reaction. In addition, the room cleaning was once and disgusting, all the garbage and dirty glasses were on the table, the sheets were just thrown on the bed, something was added to the water when leaving (severe poisoning). Think about choosing a place to relax during business trips.

One of the first high-rise buildings in Almaty! It was built a long time ago. The rooms are different, a beautiful cozy lobby with a bar, many places where you can sit and have a meeting over a cup of coffee.

Top location, but the hotel itself is old Soviet. Gatherings of street racers and incomprehensible people are not uncommon under the windows, but on the other hand, the exits from the rooms from high floors are excellent, as are the breakfasts.

What can not be said about the waiters of the restaurant on the 2nd floor, where breakfasts are held: indifferent, do not work, but serve time, as if in hard labor, dishes are selectively cleaned from guests, requests are ignored.
Buffet breakfast : varied and delicious.
The rooms are cozy, but small.
The linen is worn in places, with scuffs.

A good hotel, in a very interesting architectural style for its time. It's more or less civilized inside. Geographically, the place is not bad. There is a good view from the upper floors. Of the cons. The card did not work when checking in, it was flashed. It's unclear what's wrong with the elevators, there seem to be a lot of them, but you can wait a long time. The feeding is not very good, with a friend who roasts omelets and scrambled eggs, we need to work on the technique. Well, the main claim, for which I put 4 stars and not 5. This is 1 toilet cubicle on the ground floor, on a 25-storey hotel.. Which is always busy, and I had to go from the bar to the room on the 24th floor

Excellent modern hotel. Everything is at the highest level, from the reception to the room, the staff is polite, they clean every day. I have stayed here 4 times in the last 2 years. And the opinion is spoiling, unfortunately…
I want to add right away that breakfast, restaurants, cleaning - everything is fine.
Questions about placement…
The first two times - perfectly and without complaints.
The third one was given a two-room room (I booked a double standard), alas, I will not remember the floor, but a frank "scoop" with a characteristic smell of dampness. Without air conditioning and with screaming musicians under the windows…
The fourth time surpassed all the previous ones. We were settled for 3 nights in one junior suite room (condey is only in a room where there is no bedroom), then moved to the Queen Suite ... that is of course gorgeous, although there is no condey in the bedroom anyway. But you know what the surprise is? The "upgrade" of the room was to the floor where repairs are underway in the corridor. Well, that is, complete and capital, where forests, concrete and plaster. You go to your chic-shine on dust and construction debris 🤦♂️ So be careful to the 17th floor. At least in the next couple of months, you'll catch my misunderstanding there.
Nevertheless, the location is excellent, the historical building and for sure I will stay here again, I will give a chance to correct the spoiled opinion with the hope that everything will be repaired…
I would like to advise the hotel to warn guests about such surprises with construction sites and give them a choice.
And yes, the view from the windows is extraordinary, and the Fly Bar on the 26th floor is a magical place.

A very good hotel in the city Center! It rises majestically above the adjacent buildings, which makes it possible for those living on the upper floors, regardless of the time of day, to enjoy beautiful views of the city, and if you are lucky with the room, then the mountains! There is a view restaurant on the 25th floor. Downstairs there is a great lobby with a bar "San Francisco" and a well-coordinated reception. A system of access to the floors has been thought out - anyone who does not pass to the top without your knowledge. The rooms, even the standard ones, are spacious and clean. The air conditioning system works fine, although in cool weather it will be better with an open window. Wi-fi is easy to access and works properly throughout the hotel without glitch or malfunction. Breakfasts are a topic of special delight! In short, a very varied and hearty buffet. Despite the relatively small number of tables (in relation to the number of rooms in the hotel), nevertheless, there are always free tables, since the staff clearly monitors the vacated tables and instantly brings them to a clean appearance. For those who want to refresh themselves, there is an exit to the outdoor terrace. I recommend it!

Clean rooms, regular cleaning, soft and comfortable beds. The breakfast is great.
The building is old, so there are repairs in some places, but it does not cause discomfort.
There is a good restaurant in the immediate vicinity. The location of the hotel is an additional plus.

The building is not new, the windows are wooden, not plastic, but everything inside is in excellent order, well renovated and the age of the building is almost not felt. The rooms are neat and clean. I visited Almaty for the first time, and Kazakhstan too. The hotel Kazakhstan was easily booked immediately, from the moment of its selection, ordered on the website. I recommend not to give up breakfast at the hotel, it is very tasty, varied and tables on the second floor overlooking the hall, the entrance group. The rooms are clean, they take care of cleanliness every day. Due to its location in the city, the hotel is also conveniently located. There is a bus stop opposite, from where you can get to Medeo. There is also a cable car available, from which you can see the city of Almaty, surrounded by mountains. Beauty! If only the weather would allow you to enjoy the beauty, cloud cover is quite common, but it does not reduce your good mood.

I'm just in love with this hotel, a earthquake-resistant building from Soviet times, is a landmark of the southern capital. BUT there is not even a smell of a "scoop" there, from the upper floors and the restaurant there is a magnificent view of the mountains, the city itself, and the NIGHT ALMATY is simply amazing, excellent breakfasts for every taste from porridge and cottage cheese to fried eggs with sausages, from pancakes to meringue, from fresh strawberries to pickled cucumbers. VERY polite staff speaking 2 or more languages, there are always a lot of foreigners among the guests.

An atmospheric place to stay at least for a couple of nights. Life here is in full swing 24/7.
The hotel is not new, you can hedge by choosing a superior room, not a standart. On high floors, you have to wait for hot water (up to 10 minutes at peak time). Comfortable beds and pillows, the bathroom is compact, there are not enough hooks for towels and a bathrobe. Cleaning depends on the maids on shift.
Friendly reception staff, but with a large number of guests at the same time at the counter, you have to wait a long time for a free employee. Great breakfast. There is a good coffee shop in the lobby. There are restaurants in the hotel building, including round-the-clock Noodles.
Indeed, it can be noisy from music from the street, especially if there is a concert nearby on the square, but no music from the bar on the top floor interfered (I lived on the 19th floor).
The location of the hotel is obviously excellent.

We stayed at the hotel in 2022. At that time, there were no complaints about the room, it was clean, the sets and tea were reported during cleaning, the breakfasts were excellent. When booking, we asked for a room with a mountain view, if possible, the request was satisfied, which we were very happy about :)
The only minus was that we were in a private car, parking was free for guests, we left the car number at the reception several times, but when leaving the territory we were asked to pay the parking bill all the time, we had to figure it out and spending time to prove that we are guests and we don't need to pay anything.
And so a great option to stay in Almaty, we recommend it!

I was at the hotel in early September 2024, we stopped by late, we went into the room and there was no hot water. They gave it 2 hours later. Okay, okay, while we ate, the time passed unnoticed. In general, the first impression upon entering is wow, beautiful, light. We go up to our floor - hello USSR, there is carpet in the room itself, it is stained, the smell in the room is musty, I had to open the window. There is no hood in the shower. Well, the bed is normal, I slept well. Because of this, I did not get to breakfast, they said that the breakfast was great.
