A stunningly beautiful place where everything breathes history. Versailles is the epitome of luxury and grandeur! Unfortunately, it was not possible to get into the palace itself, but it shook from the outside. The park of the palace, with its perfectly aligned and endless alleys, seems to invite you to the era when Louis 14 and his favorites walked along these alleys. Each fountain in the park is a work of art. And the huge pond seems to reflect the endless sky. You can sit by the pond for hours, admire its surface and indulge in thoughts.

Reviews about the Versailles Park are mostly left by those tourists who, for various reasons, did not get into the palace. 😁 So during our visit there were huge queues and it was raining. And if we somehow got along with the rain (we drank cognac in a summer cafe), then we didn't want to stand outside for a couple of hours) It probably affected the fact that we are from St. Petersburg and have seen similar palaces in Peterhof, Pushkin and Pavlovsk more than once. The park itself is well maintained, huge in size, but at the same time it gives the impression of a large soulless artificially created space. There is nothing entertaining or memorable about it. We didn't find it interesting. But there 's a lot of greenery , and if you're afraid of ticks and don 't go into the woods because of it , then you 're welcome here . Swans behave more frivolously and, I would say, brazenly here, because the laws in the European Union are loyal to birds. 😅
