It was on Christmas Day. A wonderful fabulous place. We sat comfortably on the sofa by the window and enjoyed the simple surroundings and the views from the panoramic window onto the pedestrian street. For those who were hanging out in front of the TV, broadcasting relaxing music in the form of a New Year's cafe, you are welcome here. Here you can also hang out, contemplating the atmosphere of the New Year and Christmas spirit. The cuisine is delicious, the quality service highlights the atmosphere. The bonus (we didn't know about it) is the ritual of lighting a lantern by a Brest Lamplighter. As he walks to the lanterns on the street, he comes in here, lighting an interior but real street lamp. This is a special delight. In general, I want to come back here.

We attended a gastrofest at the Lantern restaurant. The table was booked in advance, and we were immediately warned that there were a lot of us and we would be ordering a set — the organizers were aware. A few things that ruined the impression: 1. Salad. The menu includes 2 quail eggs and pineapple. In fact, there was only one egg, and there was no pineapple at all. 2. Duck. Slightly under-prepared, but generally tolerable. 3. Dessert. The situation with the salad was repeated: chocolate was declared, but strawberries turned out to be in the filling. This is no longer a "surprise", but a direct discrepancy with the description. At the same time, the lasagna, soup and sandwich were pleasant and delicious. The idea of the set is good, but replacing ingredients without warning and reducing portions is disrespectful to the trust of the guest, it negates the impression. It's worth going here, but for the sake of specific dishes, and if you decide to try them in a set, be sure to check the current composition of the dishes in detail with the waiter so as not to find yourself in the same awkward situation.
