An excellent sports and wellness ski resort with a hotel, restaurants with many entertainment places for both children and adults, cozy and luxurious establishments, and of course mountains with nature and clean air at an average altitude of 2000 meters above sea level!!! Landscapes in cloudless weather are unique one day in the afternoon)), and in the evening the starry sky and a magnificent view of the night Almaty!!! An exciting sight for romantic tourists to watch at the top of the world in silence from the pure nature to the bustle of the city of Almaty in the foothills of which stands the Cimbulak ski complex!!!

The lifts are excellent, the track is for the average level, there are no blacks, the hotel is one and very nice, warm. The lift is 50 meters from the hotel, there are many cafes. Prices are lower than in Russia. If compared with Moscow (Dmitrovskoe highway), the wheelchair is 25 percent lower, and on average everything is the same. And then the mountains :) And not the mounds :) The tenth of February, the sun is shining-you can tan. There is a children's room for small children, there is a babysitter from year to year, the cost of babysitting services is 3000 tenge per hour. For those who have grown up, it is cheaper.

Thus, it turns out that you do not come to ride for pleasure, but as if you are driving on the right, wagging a snake all the time. (Not slalom). But considering that there are no alternative places, you have to go to the Chim. Rocks on the slope, hard snow, ice and the most terrible PRICES. Guys, I understand that there is no alternative, but a children's room is 4k per hour and water is 500 per glass. No, it's cheaper to rent a child's nanny in the city than to bring it with you. Moderate your ego, if it's expensive, then you need to match it. To increase the routes, to provide service. In general, 3 stars, it's still human.

What didn't you like:
1. The absence of a ski room. The skis had to be stored in the luggage room, which was littered with suitcases for more time. There was nowhere to dry boots and skis, because the room that was given out for skis was littered with suitcases and was not equipped with dryers.
3. The transfer process is not smoothed out. The lift from Medeu to Cimbulak is open on weekdays from 9:30 to 18:00, (cost 2,000 tenge per person one way). No taxi can travel to Cimbulak except for a Greenride taxi (the cost is 3,000 tenge one way). In the evening or at night it will be problematic to return to the hotel, since there is only one car on duty that can leave for the city of Alma-Ata and you will have to wait until it returns.
One evening we waited for the Greenride for 50 minutes! This is provided that we informed 40 minutes before the submission that we needed a taxi from Medeu to Cimbulac.
4. There is no elevator in the hotel. We were lifting suitcases and equipment up the stairs. And I had to put on ski boots on the 1st floor.
5. Once in the information center on 12/19/18, within 15 minutes three vacationers addressed the problem of theft of ski equipment. (Shoes were stolen at the cash register during payment; skis and poles were stolen near restaurants).
In order not to spoil our vacation, we did not get upset with our ski equipment.
6. There are about 7 cafes on Cimbulak, which close at 18:00, with the exception of the cafe at the hotel (Barn bar until 2 am) and the Chalet (until 22:00). If you try to order food at 17:00, you will be asked to eat quickly, since the cafe closes at 18:00. After 18:00 there is nothing to do on the Cimbulac (except Tuesdays and Saturdays, when evening skiing is open).
7. In fact, the Cimbulak ski resort is a single red track, a full descent of no more than 10 minutes at a moderate descent speed.
Get ready for the fact that after 2-3 days you will get tired of riding. By the 12th day, the track turns into ice (opening at 10:00).
8. At 8 a.m., repairs began to be made in the next room of the Cimbulak Hotel to the accompaniment of a drill and a hammer. For 4 days, construction debris was scattered on the floor of the 4th floor. (despite the fact that we applied to the reception of the Cimbulac hotel with a request to remove the garbage on the floor).
9. The buffet breakfast at the Cimbulac Hotel was the same and NOT varied for 7 days.
10. Ski service on the territory of the Cimbulak hotel is a return to the 90s - rude, substandard and lazy. I recommend the ski service at the rental of the Cimbulak resort is 2 times more expensive, but the quality of work is good.
What did you like:
1. The room at the Cimbulac Hotel was warm, cozy, spacious, with a view of the slope. The hotel belongs to the ski-inn/ski-out category - it is convenient to get from the ski lift to the hotel in 1 minute.
3. Food prices are comparable to those in Moscow, ski passes are cheaper than anywhere else in the resort.
5. There is a gorgeous ice rink with musical accompaniment on the Medeu! There is a place to eat and relax, rental skates are not always sharpened.
7. They cook very tasty, yes, everywhere, in every cafe and restaurant. In some places, tips are included in the receipt.
8. In the resort of Cimbulak, very clean water (mountain), you can drink it from the tap.
Total:
If you wanted to ski inexpensively and you are tired of Sochi - remember, you are not tired of Sochi.
