We visited this jazz club in May 2021. The clivish, percussion are incomparable, but the singer is not very good. Despite the separate entrance fee, all the dishes are very expensive, as well as alcohol. The choice of wines is limited, the quality of the dishes is poor. We have already lost the habit of smoky establishments. A couple of smokers make the air unpleasant.

It is very expensive and unjustifiable! As it turned out, they have all the dishes ready in advance (this is the first time I've seen this in expensive establishments). At the entrance, the administrator does not inform you that the place is not suitable for children and that the entrance is paid (not cheap), you will find out about it in the invoice! Also, be careful for allergy sufferers, they refuse to remove unnecessary ingredients from the dish at your request (despite the fact that you are willing to pay for the dish on the menu)! Jazz (almost does not smell), boring, although they played and sang well! I won't tell you about Malkhaz himself, we only found out that he doesn't always come out, and if he does, it's after midnight... We definitely would not have gone there ourselves, especially with children, but they gave us a gift and assured us that you can go anywhere with children here...

We got here like through the looking glass! It's a very atmospheric place. I'm not a mega-fan of jazz, rather I thought I could take it in homeopathic doses. But the local musicians, and especially Master Levon himself, have drastically changed my opinion. This is an exclusive leisure activity. And indeed, the wonderful Armenian cognac came under it very much, which is just needed here in homeopathic doses, so as not to lubricate and scare off such a magical jazz-Yerevan flair.

Every time we visit Armenia, we book a table here, come to listen and watch Levon Malkhasyan. It's a legend, it's power and charisma. His play and smile are power. He starts his performance at midnight, before which time some other performer and band usually performs. There have always been different performers, but the performance has always been decent. The last time we were at the club in March 2019, we even managed to dance, a cheerful spectator from Georgia, Russia got up, started dancing) A positive mood. It would be great if the price tag on the menu was slightly lower, although the dishes are all very tasty and beautifully decorated. The place is a must-visit, strong emotions.

A smoking room without ventilation. The price tag is just very high for Yerevan. A bottle of wine and fruit in 40t of local currency came out. Maestro leaves at 00:30. There is simply no point in coming earlier, the girl sings doubtfully. And Moscow has a lot of such things. The place is clearly crowded. Frankly boring. You sit and fall asleep. A lot of people didn't make it to the maestro's exit, because it was really very boring. I do not recommend the place. If you like this, then do not come before 00:00.
But in fact, booze is expensive, and there's nothing else to do. The food is not tasty, and it is very salty. As a result, a spoiled evening in Yerevan.

We were there recently. The place is not bad. Among the disadvantages: smoky, overpriced drinks, up to 24:00 music-jazz covers of pop music. I understand that the repertoire is chosen "for everyone", but it didn't go well for us. The entrance is paid, but they won't tell you about it at the entrance, they'll just include it in the bill. Tea is included in the bill, so the waiters don't try too hard. The hall was half empty, but I almost had to wave my hands to get them to come up to us. The impression is not very good, they left before midnight.

The feeling of pseudo exclusivity of the 90s. A microcultural place of Yerevan with unjustified (!) aplomb. Expensive (in Yerevan), unfair at the entrance (you can find out about the cost of staying in the Club only after receiving the bill), moderately talented, pretentious, (not jazz geniuses, and not jazz, by and large, at all!) unceremoniously (waiters), very average in service (waiters and management), weak in the kitchen, smoking is welcome, and cigars (!!!) including (by night, even smokers have nothing to breathe with!), kurguzo in the entourage (cheap furniture does not match the complexity of booking in any way), etc., etc. All the action is in the basement. On the 1st floor, behind a separate one, closed from the eyes of visitors, sits the same "Malkhaz", endlessly smoking... The musicians don't play a single note without looking up at him. Such is Don Carleone. It's a little weird... You need to have a lot of patience to wait for the performance of the Master. Everyone is waiting for him, but few are waiting. It is not clear at all what those who did not have enough patience pay for! A global magnitude? No! His music playing can be heard online - make sure that his improvisations are very average. For some, of course, "Malkhaz" is enough to enjoy jazz... In general, it's nice, but not the "delight and frenzy of the crowd." A soap bubble on Pushkin Street. If you don't have to go there, then don't... You won't lose anything! Moreover, apart from the wonderful bass player, everything else is semi-jazz. Or not jazz at all!

It's a jazz club. Real. They go there by appointment. We knew this, we asked to reserve seats at the reception. In two days, there were only seats on the second floor (the stage is on the 1st, the hall itself is vertical, so on the 1st floor there are 4 tables near the stage and 4 more on the edges, behind the columns), but we were lucky and we were seated in front of the stage (a table for two at the column, facing the stage). I don't know if I can just walk in from the street. As a jazz club, it starts working from 21 o'clock. We arrived at 21:30. A jazz band is playing until 0:00, a girl sings in English, Russian, and Armenian. She sings and plays beautifully, with short breaks. At 0:00, the master comes (he is also the owner of the club), plays for 15-20 minutes without stopping. Very good, exceptionally. We are not fans of jazz, but we were very satisfied. I recommend. 4 stars, because the prices of food and drinks are very high in the club, 2-3 times higher than expensive restaurants in the center of Yerevan with excellent cuisine. The service is so-so (they didn't even bring us something, but they included it in the bill; the bill is in Armenian, I asked to translate every line and excluded more). As a result, the prices in the club are the same as in the center of Moscow, but on average they are lower in Yerevan. You pay separately for musical accompaniment, 3000 AMD (420₽) per person. Conclusion: it is necessary to go here. To go and listen to live music in excellent performance, and of course wait for the maestro, it's worth it. We ordered drinks and desserts. We had dinner at another restaurant, in advance. So, if you like live music and the appropriate atmosphere, I strongly recommend visiting this jazz club one evening in Yerevan. P.S. The maestro has been playing for many years, he can stop his performances.
