The best cafe in Sukhum. There are many tables, gazebos. It is a popular place not only for tourists, but also for locals. As in all cafes in Abkhazia, waiters do not like to count several checks. We visited the cafe on August 17th. We ordered boats- 240 rubles., Caesar salad- 300 rubles., kebab lula- 400 rubles., feijoa compote- 75 rubles. The prices are adequate. I don't know what everyone admires so much, but we only liked the compote, although it is very sweet, but it tastes very pleasant. The cheese is sour in the boats, the chicken is tough in the salad, the lettuce leaves are not cut and in general the salad is dry, the kebab is bland (and this is with the great love of Caucasian cuisine for spices). The waiter never came up after he brought the food, and we really wanted to drink - we had to ask another waiter to bring water. People stand in line to sit at a table. I put only two stars. We won't go anymore, we'll go to other cafes.

The staff is very nice.
The kebab seemed a little dry to me, but it turned out that it was so "lucky" for me. I shared it with my wife, she got very soft, juicy pieces, and I got everything else)))

They took potatoes in a rustic way. It was delicious. By the way, I smeared achapa on it. It became even tastier)
I forgot to mention that we came here before we left. We took a hodgepodge) it's something with something) by density it's goulash with gravy, not soup) beef is insanely delicious!!
I didn't like it and spoiled the impression of tangerine juice, maybe it wasn't fresh, I don't know. It tasted like some kind of vegetable.. well, anyway)

We visited three times in the evening when the halls were fully loaded. The first two times everything was brought very quickly, the food was delicious, the staff was polite.
For the third time, they took the guest to brag about what a good cafe they had found. But it turned out to be a complete misunderstanding. We sat down at the table and waited 15 minutes for someone to pay attention to us. The cleaners had already gone to the waiters and called them, but it didn't help. We thought maybe we were hard to see? We moved closer to the kitchen - it didn't help, we waited another 10 minutes for the menu. Then we waited 15 minutes for the waiter to take our order, and so on... When they wanted to leave, they began to bring food - but it was not at all the same as it was before: the boat was fresh, it was impossible to eat beans, it was insanely spicy (when asked to replace the dish, it was simply taken away, but included in the bill)
In general, an ambiguous impression. Apparently they got on the wrong shift...

We've been here twice or three times, we need to get in between lunch and dinner, and so there are queues. Tolerable price, fast service, delicious trout (330g 450r), but tasteless local beer - Sukhumi. Draft Sukhumi, by the way, is also in the city of the same quality and taste. Assyr bottled beer is a little more expensive, but the taste is even worse.
We didn't have time to try the boat. The salads tasted good. Eggplant rolls with nuts are too spicy. Or a lot of garlic and pepper.
The disadvantage is huge for the institution that it is allowed to smoke, although there are seats in an outdoor cafe, but still with a roof, why it is allowed for licentious citizens to stink there is unclear. And it's not about the laws, but disrespect for others (after such a service, I only go there to the toilet. They will come with small children and they will be drugged. What kind of game is this? And us non-smokers at the same time.
Plus, it always works and they don't moan that there is no water or the toilet is closed, as many establishments in Abkhazia do.
It is difficult to be there in the heat, if you do not sit in a corner under the fan, the rest of the fans rotate in a circle and few people are blown. So it's very stuffy.

We ate twice. At lunch, we were sated with two soups of chicken and beef with a boat. A boat-there are simply no words to describe the fullness of positive feelings. Soups didn't disappoint either. With beer and lemonade, exactly 1 tr. In the evening, we were delighted with the lula and barbecue. It is very tasty, the serving is interesting and fast. The Abkhazian hodgepodge failed -the meat was too salty for us. In the evening, 1.5 tr for two. Unfortunately, wine can only be taken in bottles-500 rubles / piece.

It's not a bad place, but I won't call it the best in Sukhumi. There are a lot of guests, standing almost over their souls, waiting for the table to be free and looking into their mouths. We managed to get into it only the second time, we really wanted to evaluate the kitchen ourselves.
The tables are located on the ground floor, there are separate booths, the second floor, a terrace, it was very hot, stuffy. There are a lot of staff, because of the heat and the volume of work, exhausted and tired, but at the same time friendly. The waiter Svetlana is a lovely creature, thank you for the service! 🙏

A very popular place in Sukhum, located on the central embankment. We found the only table available. The menu is very diverse and focused on national cuisine. Despite the full load of the restaurant, our order was quickly accepted and after 15 minutes the table was set! The dishes struck with their taste. Then we found out that Vladimir Vysotsky and Marina Vladi visited this restaurant, which added even more good impressions to our memory. We will be in Abkhazia, we will definitely visit again. This is an amazing place! I went to Sukhum mostly because I wanted to visit this place. But the expectations were fulfilled, Everything was very good, as they say in the reviews. But keep in mind the portions are large, we took for two. I liked the local beer 🫠 The staff is very friendly - they will tell you everything, tell you and tell you how to get where you need to go. For the price of everything about everything, we had about 2k for two: 3 types of snacks, soup, kebabs, khachapuri (or as it is called here "boat"), two types of beer, coffee, baklava.
