I was on an excursion in this cave. I must say right away, the cave itself is 5 stars. Very beautiful lighting and musical accompaniment at the end of the tour.
But the tour and the speed with which you "fly through" the cave is disappointing. The guide speaks 3 languages Georgian, English and finally broken Russian. The information in our language is something like this: "There is a rock in front of you, and a hole in it", at least and primitive. The price is high, so you expect a good tour and a quiet sightseeing, but in reality it's the opposite.
There is something to compare it with. I have been to the New Athos Cave several times.
PS you can make an audio guide to somehow improve the tour

For me, who visited such a large cave for the first time, it was wow! This is the setting, the atmosphere, the volume of the cave and the incredible beauty of stalactites and stalagmites, which eventually take on bizarre shapes. I did not like the guide, who speaks Russian and English poorly and could not be heard at all because of the large number of people. But it didn't spoil the impression, you just have to go and admire 😍

This is really a Cave! It will capture and surprise you with its scale. The first steps are "well, nothing special," and then you get excited. The lighting was very nicely organized and the light show at the end is a pleasant point. Org points - there are 2 types of tickets with a boat tour along the underground river and without a boat, where you walk back 300m outside the cave. Seasoned tourists recommended not to take a ticket with a boat because you will drive half the way in the dark and miss a lot. I don't know if this is true, but I really liked it without a boat. Besides, the ticket is much cheaper. It's cool and very humid inside - keep in mind, take a jacket. There are many ascents and descents of stairs. The pace seemed to me quite high, I would like to look around more stops. You will spend 40 minutes on your feet. Photos do not convey beauty and scale at all.

A very beautiful and interesting cave! The work done is huge, the lighting is everywhere, you feel like in a fairy tale, and the music also matches! There was a group of 30 people, we came with a family of 4 people. The guide speaks Georgian, English and Russian! I recommend it!

Of the advantages: 1 beautiful last room in the cave and bought spices after the tour. All
It is worth starting with the safety of visitors, neither helmets nor vests were given. You just go the whole tour in a very large group and that's it, there are no fences either. The guide made 4-5 stops for me in 1 hour (that's how long we walked through the cave) (2 minutes). It is not clear what the tour consists of, but 25 GEL has been paid. That is, for this amount you are looking at yourself and in fact I have not received any sensible information. "Staloctite in the form of Georgia" - I remember these words of the guide, but I want something more interesting. I was very upset, again, there is something to compare it with. And at the end there is a minibus that should take you to the initial point, but since there are a lot of people (50 people) and there are few seats, and everyone did not fit in, we drove standing up in order not to waste time and not wait for the next one. It's expensive and I can't tell you anything about the cave, because they didn't give me the information. Well, there was and there was. All. Upset

My family and I visited Prometheus Cave and were generally satisfied. The cave is beautiful and impressive in its size and internal structure. The only drawback is that the excursions gather too large groups, and because of this, the walk lasts a long time and can be boring. But the place itself is worth a visit, especially if you have not been to such caves before. Everything is safe and comfortable inside, and both children and adults liked it.

If you haven't been to the caves at all, it might be worth it. If you have been to caves in the Crimea, definitely not, you will be disappointed. The cave itself is much more modest and sooo commercialized. Of the claimed 1,600 meters of cave beauty, 10% of the actual beauty, the rest is a quick walk through completely empty tunnels. The "guide", rather an escort, quickly speaks into the microphone in Georgian, bad English and very bad Russian completely banal things - height, length, opening time. If you consider that there are about a hundred people in the group, it's not realistic to hear anything, even if you want to. The advertised light show is a hack. The lanterns have moved and shine not on the beautiful "icicles", but next to them. The music is played in the first and last hall, very loudly, not in any way cave-private). In short, this whole show is designed for the stream, there is no taker for the soul...

The cave impresses with its size, the extraordinary beauty of the halls, skillfully emphasized by lighting, and a long and conveniently paved pedestrian path. Surprisingly, it is warm inside, always +14 - whereas usually in caves it is slightly above zero. A walk through the cave as part of an organized group with a guide according to the schedule, I had to wait a little for the beginning. The group was small, about 15 people, the guide tells very briefly in English and Russian (possibly in Georgian, depending on the group). At the end of the route, there is a beautiful light and music show in the Prometheus Hall. Unfortunately, it was not possible to take a boat ride on the underground river - something was being repaired on the day of the visit, and the service was not available.

For 25 GEL per person, you will receive a guided tour with a huge group of an indefinite number, you can not take pictures or look at it, because the trail is narrow and they adjust it from behind, the guide leads the tour in Russian and English, but does not really know either language. Also, now it's August 2024, they are missing a decent part of the route, but for some reason the cost does not change 🤷♀️
When you exit, you are waiting in the heat for a bus that will take you to the beginning of the route, but to get on the bus you need to go through the Afghan war and gladiatorial battles, all this in 30 degree heat.
Thank you for your attention, I really don't recommend it. The caves are beautiful, but the organization is disgusting.

If you are going on an excursion, I do not advise you to go with a large group, you can not hear anything. It is better to overpay and go with a group of 10 people. Rafting from the cave along the river is impressive, but do not count on a long walk, five minutes and you swim out of the cave. Rafting is not included in the standard ticket price, you must pay extra separately. The tours are repeated every 40 minutes.

The cave itself is very beautiful and large, on the day of the visit there was an opportunity to sail by boat after the walking part, this is available when a certain water level is also not a bad attraction. I didn't like that a lot of people were launching at once, everyone was walking in a stretched chain, the guide spoke English and Russian, but there was little information and it was hard to hear, as people added noise, especially when they were not speaking their language. The part where the music is playing and the backlight is changing is also interestingly done. Of course, natural beauty is beyond any competition, but some people tend to go beyond the fences, touch the growths, which probably spoils natural processes, but since the guide is far ahead, no one sees this and does not make comments((

Paid parking, which you don't know about in advance. Long waits and forced excursions.
The grandfather in the parking lot directly demanded to pay him 3 laras.
I didn't go on the tour because of the long wait in line for the tour: at first, she said the wait was 30 minutes, then it increased to 45 minutes.
There's a lot to do in that area besides waiting in line to look at the caves.

Entrance is 25 lari, drive "2 minutes" by boat inside the cave of 25 lari (I do not recommend the latter). The prices are absolutely not comparable to the feed. It's fun to look at the cave from the inside, but no more. Monetization on nothing is very striking. Tourists are launched in groups once every half hour. One guide, who monotonously broadcasts, though in 3 languages (Georgian, English, Russian), a group of about 80 people, did not count, but a lot. Everyone is walking in single file after each other. The concrete on the tracks was wet and slippery, and it was very easy to get injured. It's good that there are handrails. You can't go outside the track, you can only watch. There is lighting in different colors inside, music is not appropriate. Well, somewhere in the distance, the guide is mumbling, not paying attention to the fact that he can be heard by the first 10 people. There is no time to sleep when you have passed the cave in one direction - get out

Expensive. It's crowded. But all the same, the scale of the cave is worth going and evaluating, it really is a super cave. Of the advantages: it is suitable even for pensioners and children, there are no hellish ascents, only descents and a couple of small stairs up the route. The path is in one direction, a shuttle bus picks up at the exit - convenient. If you have extra money, I recommend taking a boat trip through the cave. Responsible people for conducting the tour did it never occur to you that your guide could not be heard with the equipment that you give him.
