For the main theater of the city, and possibly the country, it is passable. The prices are quite affordable, the productions are interesting, the actors of the theater are diligent. I was confused by the cerberus caretakers, who are ready to take your phone away from you, so long as you don't take pictures or take pictures. I visited this place in the fall of 2024. I listened to the opera The Barber of Sibyl, the opera was in Italian, with the credits, which in turn were in Russian. The theater itself is beautiful, as befits the main theater of the capital. Clean, marble columns, space and buffet. The prices in the buffet are reasonable, alcoholic beverages are slightly higher than usual, but it's not scary. The acting is wonderful. The disadvantage is that you have to look at the translation of the Italian opera, lowering your eyes down to the translation in the running line. It seems to me it would be more convenient to place this line on top, and the heads do not interfere and the neck does not get tired)))

Among the advantages: affordable tickets (unlike in Russia, for example), but the level, of course, is not the same. Cool scene features - lights, visual effects. Of course, the live sound is cool. The level of the dancers is average, the vocals have been very disappointing in places lately. And I really want a ballet NOT by Elizariev, I want a fresh approach, new ideas and solutions. I am glad that the program always includes, in addition to classics, Belarusian productions: for example, according to Korotkevich.

We visited the opera La Traviata with our daughter. The theater itself is amazing! This is one of the few buildings in Minsk that survived after the war, although the city was almost completely destroyed - the Germans knew a lot, and decided to keep the theater for themselves. The interior is very beautiful and solemn and at the same time without excessive pretentiousness. As for the production, you need to have a very good and subtle taste (and of course courage) in order to transfer the classic plot to the modern world. Everything was exactly like that here - carefully, tactfully, with taste. Well, the great music of Verdi and the vocal skills of the artists are creepy, to tears! At the end of the action, the whole hall gave a standing ovation!!! I was surprised by the lack of crowds and queues (to the cloakroom, buffet, toilet), as well as the location itself - a little away from the big streets, in a green park area. And yet, the rather early start and end time of the action is from 18:00 to 20:55 (although there were 3 intermissions between the actions!). What was the right decision - to take tickets to this theater in advance (ordered from Moscow, when planning a trip)! And by the way, the ticket price (1st row of the dress circle, the middle is about 600 Russian rubles), however, as well as the prices in the buffet are simply amazing! Oh, if our Big tickets cost that much, I wouldn't get out of there! 🤣

The theater is beautiful! We were at the Nutcracker, but we didn't like it. It was not a classic version, but some kind of honored Belarusian figure. The costumes are so-so. The Nutcracker could barely jump himself, I thought he would break the stage. The prices at the buffet are very reasonable, they can't compare with Moscow prices.

As always, this place leaves a storm of emotions! The beauty of the theater is off the scale! The luxury of chandeliers and marble stairs is mesmerizing! The incomparable performance of the actors, including the unnamed ones. Director's work, an orchestra that will never allow themselves a "cock", costumes! I always enjoy this fabulous atmosphere. A buffet with incredibly delicious cuisine (the cakes are incomparable) for the lowest possible budget for such a place. And what kind of people: silence and delight, dresses and heels, politeness and tolerance for each other. I recommend it!
