We’ve been staying at the end of April. Clean rooms, good service. I’d give 4*
The buffet had a big variety of dishes at any taste. But it’s better to come until 8 pm, otherwise you’ll meet some dishes cold.
The bathroom had problems with hot water, we had to wait 5-7 mins till it’s warm/hot.

We were at the Media Rotana hotel from October 8 to October 14, "all inclusive". Amazing responsive staff, very attentive, the food is excellent, there are three restaurants to choose from, cocktails at the pool bar, cleaned every day. In general, we visited like in paradise. The price is the same as it would be in Turkey for three, we are infinitely grateful, I hope we will come again!

We didn't get around to write a review, we had a family vacation with a child in early October 2023. In the Emirates for the second time. The hotel is more suitable for a stopover at work, but not for a vacation, especially for a family.
Positive:
Great food, I'm picky in this regard, but it was all sooo delicious! BUT: about 60-70% of the food is spicy. Good alcohol. Upon request, they brought popular cocktails with a smile and for free. The service is excellent, the waiters are just smart guys!!! Hard workers! And also the chefs, very friendly, used to take the plates out of their hands to put what we need ourselves))) I would like to mention the waiters Thashila, narinder, imran, saiful, thank them very much, thanks only to them I put 3.
I would like to thank Osman separately. This young guy is worth his weight in gold, this hotel does not deserve such an employee. He patiently fussed with us, solving any problems, always with a smile, we remember him with great warmth.
That's where the advantages ended.
Minuses:
Upon arrival, we were greeted by a cockroach and a dirty, dusty room. Looking ahead, it was still a great number. The windows don't open. The room had panoramic windows and it was cool to observe the life of the city. The dust at the safe was like that for the entire time of her stay, no one wiped it off.
A few days later, the cockroach returned. Here we already freaked out and asked for another number. We are given a room, supposedly premium, in the second building. The stench of mustiness, because of the stupid layout, it seems even smaller than before, although it is already 53 m, the curtains are dirty, the windows are small. The TV does not read the USB, the remote control does not work. The lights are blinking. Mold in the bathroom.
A basket of fruits (which are already in bulk in the restaurant) and a greeting on the TV - that's the end of the premium.
Friendly workers immediately resorted to all these issues, but no one did anything. The boys do not clean well.
BEACH:
Extremely far from the sea. There is a free transfer to the popular beach with a Ferris wheel in the hottest weather at 11 o'clock or so. There may not be enough places there.
No sun beds, the water is stagnant, dirty, with a greasy film!!!
I wanted to cry, I obviously didn't want to swim in IT all my vacation.
I took the transfer at about 13 hours, the temperature was 42 degrees, the child became ill, we did not fit into two transfers, and the next one was already at 16 hours, we had to catch a taxi for $ 100!!!
We found the nearest beach, the water is clean, there are very few people. We went there every day by taxi. It turned out to be about 500 rubles in one direction. Taxi drivers can take you in 3 minutes, or they can roll, wind the meter for 15 minutes. Be vigilant. It is not difficult to catch a taxi on the road, just carefully shake off the sand, otherwise they take it reluctantly.
They gave breakfast to the airport - it's 4 small muffins each.
The children's room was not working.
Cocktails could be drunk by the pool for free, and tips were left.
We won't be back for sure)))

The hotel is located near the metro. Taxis are always on duty at the entrance. Across the street is a minimarket with a wide selection. There is a liquor store nearby. There are cafes and restaurants in the area. The lobby and corridors are clean. The staff is friendly.
The rooms are spacious, bright but without balconies. We lived in a room with a separate bedroom and, which was very pleasing, there were two bathrooms. The large, main one has a bathroom, a shower cabin and a bidet.

Great gym. SPA complex with mini sauna and the same tiny steam room. You can order personal treatments. There is an outdoor pool and sun loungers.

The hotel is occupied by 30-40% by Russian-speaking vacationers, and at the reception of eight administrators, only one spoke Russian and then worked once every three days.
On the 16th floor, we had to wait for hot water to flow. The shower stall has very low sides and the door is loosely attached. Therefore, if you splash enough, then a decent puddle will flow on the floor.
The breakfasts are pretty monotonous. The choice of dishes is small. Half of the tables are in the narrow aisle between the windows and the Swedish line.

We ate watermelons, melons, passion fruit). Fruits were also whole- it is convenient to take to the beach.
The rooms are spacious, clean (the windows are only dirty). Cleaning every day. They brought water, replenished tea with coffee. There is everything you need, you didn't even use your own. A good shampoo, balm, body lotion. There is also a shaving kit. Bathrobes and slippers.
The metro is 7 minutes away. We didn't go to the beach by shuttle, the TC leaves at 10, it's already 12:40 back. We went by taxi or metro. Taxi to kite beach - 40 there (multiply by 20), 25 back (apparently shorter back) and catch a taxi on the road, and call on. When calling, the landing is 12 dirhams, if just caught 5)
The pool is small, but the area around is very pleasant.

There are 3 restaurants on the territory of the hotel, the 1st where breakfast, lunch and dinner are held, but you need to come to dinner at 21:40 to be in time. Since everything will be cleaned at 22, although it is written that it works until 22:30. The other restaurant is open until 21:30. And another Nelson is more of a bar, with children not allowed there. There is also a sauna, a hammam, but I also do not let children go there. The shuttle carries JBR to one beach. The second beach is Palm West, although it is listed in the delivery, but it is only for a walk (apparently paid).
On your own to the beach: either by taxi (about 50 dirhams one way or go to the metro (7 minutes), then by metro, then to the beach 15 minutes. In general, 45 minutes. Walking for about an hour, but it's bad with pedestrian zones. And it's unrealistic to walk in the heat.

JBR beach has free toilets and changing cabins (located in one place, built on the beach). A shower costs 5 dirhams (a few minutes). The beach is actively used by locals, and this is 90% of migrants from Asia, from the entire population of the Emirates.

It is convenient that shuttles are carried from the hotel to 4 shopping complexes (Nakheel, Dubai Hills, Outlet, Emirates Mall). And at the same time, you can take a walk in the shopping center.
I liked Dubai Hills from the shopping center, it is very new, beautiful, there are all major brands, and a good supermarket of food, and exchangers. The pool is small, in summer it is convenient that there is a shadow from the building, at least up to 12 hours you can swim in the shade, the heat is 43 gr. There were always enough sun loungers in the summer, I think there are not enough in the season.
We were saved by the fact that we often visited the shopping center or the hotel.
It's not far to the metro, 10 minutes, it's hot to go in the summer, we went by shuttle to the Emirates Mall, it's closer to the metro, and you can see in the shopping center - penguins behind glass. And then take a taxi from there to Medinat and Parusa.
Or by metro to Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall and Fountains. This route is the most convenient in the heat to the Emirates Mall. Metro silver card 25 dirhams (2-3 trips).
I liked safari very much from the tour (they pick it up from the hotel and bring it), it costs $ 18 / person, we drove along the dunes, super, watched the show. We also booked on Klook (I learned about it from reviews). They also took a half-day tour of Dubai, in general not bad, because in the heat we didn't want to run around the city on our own. And of course, it's not everywhere you can get by metro (a minimum of beaches near the metro and not all the attractions).
In general, the hotel is a solid 4, I liked the cleaning and the fact that there was a super-delicious lunch on Sundays (only on Sundays), it was comfortable to rest. There were few people in July, it was nice))), I think in the season the impressions can be spoiled by crowds of people. On the downside, I had more expectations about food. The restaurant worked only once, or rather, a good dining room), the Italian got only 1 time on the menu (pizza, steak, soup).
Yes, the supermarket is small, right across the street, there are delicious local juices.
