After admiring the cathedral from the outside, I went inside for souvenirs, and got an example of splendor. No grandmothers at the entrance muttering "in shorts and without a handkerchief," no boorish candle vendors, no darkness under the arches of the temple. The cathedral is full of light and golden-colorful mosaics, the inscriptions near the saints are clearly legible. Candles are placed outside the temple, and are not sold at the established rate, but are available for any voluntary donation. Everyone can come in, even in any clothes, even with children in strollers. At the same time, everyone behaves decently and quietly. There are benches - you can listen to the service while sitting. There are separate shops with church themes, and they accept both cash and cards; what is funny, the crosses in them turned out to be Russian-made. There is an atmosphere of kind, solemn peace in the temple.
