Beautiful and iconic spot on the Bosphorus. Even just viewing it from the shore is a special experience, especially at sunset. The surroundings are peaceful and perfect for a stroll. A must-see for anyone visiting Istanbul

One of the sights of Istanbul. In November there are ferries from two places. Payment in lira or by card. They give you a ticket at the ticket office and a link to the audio guide application. Plus headphones, new. We wait for the ferry to arrive in 15 minutes and walk around the tower upon arrival. There is a cafe and a toilet. We take beautiful views. The audio guide is only in foreign languages. So you don't have to open the headphones.. The whole journey is one hour. Don't get a divorce on a 45 euro trip across the Bosphorus. It costs a maximum of 10 euros at the booking.

The entrance is very expensive, for January 2026 35 euros per person. You can perfectly admire this attraction by walking along the Uskyudara embankment. It is very close to it and there are benches where you can relax and admire. At the same time, locals carry and offer hot tea and coffee, which is in demand among both locals and tourists. This is especially true in the cold season.

Beauty! For some reason, I always wanted to see the maiden tower when I first saw it in Aivazovsky's painting ("View of the Leandra Tower in Constantinople) And his description of it is "born among the gulls of the Bosphorus..." but every time I was in Istanbul, it was the maiden tower that was in the recreation... and finally this year my dream came true.

We didn't go there, I looked at the size of the attraction and felt sorry for the money. But what an embankment opposite! Just a song! The views are great! Nice to walk! We bought a bagel and fed the seagulls! Hilarious entertainment, they grab bread on the fly, like dogs grab a ball, I recommend it.

Maiden Tower — romance in the middle of the Bosphorus Kız Kulesi, or Maiden Tower, is one of the most magical places in Istanbul. A small island in the middle of the Bosphorus, a tower with a legend and a unique atmosphere — all this creates the feeling of being in a fairy tale. You can get here by boat, and the very way across the water sets the mood. And when you find yourself at the foot of the tower, you feel as if time freezes. Stone, wood, wind and the sound of waves are a simple but very lively combination. Upstairs there is a panoramic view of the Bosphorus, bridges, European and Asian sides of Istanbul. The perfect place to take photos, reflect, and just enjoy the moment. Inside there is a small exhibition, a cafe where you can sit with a cup of coffee or tea overlooking the sea. The legend of the princess imprisoned in the tower adds romance — it is told on tablets and in audio guides. It is very atmospheric, especially in the evening, when the sun begins to set below the horizon. Admission is paid, but the experience is worth it. It's better to come on a clear day — the views are simply magical! , Advantages: — Unique location in the middle of the water — Beautiful views of Istanbul and the Bosphorus — Legendary and atmospheric place — Cafe and relaxation area inside — Romantic boat trip 💭 Summary: The Maiden Tower is not just a landmark, but a whole mood. Quiet, beautiful, with the spirit of old Istanbul. I highly recommend visiting, especially for those who love romance and the sea.

The Maiden's Tower is undoubtedly one of the iconic places of Istanbul. It is useful to go and see, if you tell your friends that you are in Istanbul or that you are going, they will ask you about the Maiden's Tower, so live the experience so as not to say “I don't know”. When it comes to going to the Maiden's Tower, there are two stylish ones; one is to go to the beach in front of it, watch the Maiden's Tower with bagels and tea, and learn its history (you can easily reach it from your mobile phone). It looks close to your eyes, as if you think I could swim to the island if I jumped into the water, but don't try, it's not as close as it looks, and there's a very strong current of water. Let's come to the second chic, which is to go personally and watch Istanbul from inside the Maiden's Tower. There are regular flights with sea vehicles/engines. There are places inside where you can have a snack and do gift/souvenir shopping. The most beautiful thing is watching Istanbul from the viewing terrace, feeling the waves just above the sea and the wind caressing your cheek and looking across is one of the most beautiful Istanbul experiences you can have. As a result, it is one of the must-see places of Istanbul, from the coast or from inside.

It's a ten-minute walk from the Uskyudara pier. There is a place to sit and relax. It's also beautiful from the water. In general, you can view it from any point at any time. It's not worth setting aside time on purpose

One of the business cards of Istanbul. Ready to visit. There are many legends, I don't know which one is correct, the last one I heard was about the sultan's daughter. How to get. If the view from the water is the metro from the eastern part of the M5 - Üsküdar, Marmaray B1 from the eastern or western parts is the Üsküdar stop, exit onto the pier and go to the left. You can also take ferries to the station of the same name. If you want to get to the tower itself, you can go to the sightseeing boats (whether it's worth it is up to you).

Date of construction 1110 !!!! The Maiden Tower in Istanbul is one of the symbols of the city. It is built on a small island located in the middle of the Bosphorus Strait. The building is three-tiered. The upper level has a summer terrace with sofas, an observation deck with fixed binoculars, and a bar. On the middle tier there are souvenir shops, a photo zone with Turkish decorations and costumes, there is also a cafe where a traditional Turkish breakfast is served in the morning and a set lunch in the afternoon. On the lower tier there is a restaurant "Maiden Tower", inside which parties with a show program and live music are held. The only way to get to the tower is by water. It is located near the Salajak embankment in the Uskyudar district — it is located in the Asian part of Istanbul. The shore and the historical monument are about 200 meters apart, which the boat overcomes in a couple of minutes. Another option is to go to the tower from the European part of the city: from the ferry piers Kabatash or Karakey. Or you can just sit on the embankment opposite this location, take tea from passing merchants and enjoy the views)

The tower on a small island is an interesting place. We arrived by boat, walked for half an hour. It's enough to inspect everything and take pictures. They sailed back on the same boat. There's nothing to do there anymore.

Boats leave from Salacak pier, but every 15 minutes. Be careful, you need to buy a ticket separately, even when buying a museum pass. A ticket to the tower costs 8 euros (400 lire).

It is possible and interesting to watch and photograph from the shore. It is best from the embankment of the Asian part of the city. But I don't see any point in crossing to the island by ferry and exploring there. The price/quality is not the same.

It's not so much the architecture that impresses, but the views that open up: you can stick around for an hour or two, admiring the Bosphorus, ships and birds

To be honest, the price does not justify this visit. For locals, the price of round-trip boats is 10 times lower than for tourists. The tower is small, it takes about 15 minutes to do everything. It's a little boring after that. The Galata Tower is much more interesting

Getting to this tower is a challenge. The website says that the ferry to the tower itself runs from Karakoy and only from there. The hotel told us it was from Eminenu. We went to Karakey, where they don't know anything about the ferry to the tower. We eventually took the ferry to Uskyudar. We walked for several kilometers, as it is absolutely not obvious where the ferry to the tower comes from. Upon reaching it, it turned out that they were already closed. In general, we never reached it. Look at the tower from the embankment if you are in that area. Purposefully, it makes no sense to spend so much effort and time on the road...

Visited in November 2023 according to the Museum Pass card - a ticket of 50 liras. Without a card 600 lire!!You can buy a ticket at the ticket office opposite the attraction itself in the Asian part of the city (Uskyudar district). The ticket price includes delivery to the island and back, as well as a visit to the Maiden Tower itself. The queue for the location is moderate, 15 minutes. From the tower there are beautiful views of the beautiful Istanbul. There is a coffee shop on the island, the prices are average.

I really love this tower. You can look at it from the shore (it is very close), you can swim to it by boat, wander around this island, enjoy the views, climb to the top, take beautiful photos. The format of the restaurant changes from year to year, then a full-fledged institution, then a small coffee shop, but it is worth visiting anyway, especially at sunset.

The Maiden Tower in Istanbul is an amazing structure that towers over the waters of the Bosphorus. Built in the IV century, it served as a lighthouse, quarantine station, restaurant and even a prison. Today it is a cultural center where exhibitions, photo galleries and a restaurant are held. The tower is located in the Uskyudar area, and it can be reached by ferry from the Salacak pier. The cost of travel and visiting the tower is 40 Turkish lira. Ferries run from 12:00 to 0:00 every 15 minutes.Inside the tower there is a restaurant and a gift shop. There is an observation deck at the top, offering stunning views of the Asian part of Istanbul and the Bosphorus Strait. It is especially interesting to visit the Maiden Tower in the evening, when the light mechanism of the lighthouse turns on. It emits white and red flashes every three seconds, which creates a unique atmosphere.Overall, a visit to the Maiden Tower is a great opportunity to enjoy the beauty of Istanbul and learn more about the history of this amazing city.

In general, this is just a lure for tourists. It's inconvenient to get there. First you go by ferry, to the other shore. Then you walk from the pier for a long time, then swim back to the tower. Inside there is just a tower, an observation deck. The viewport photos are not bad, but that's it. If there is absolutely nothing to do, then you can go.

It's not worth a visit, there's nothing to see. It's hard to get there, because the ferry runs once an hour and costs 8 euros per person! Moreover, the ferry does not run back on schedule. I originally planned to spend no more than half an hour on the tower, but the ferry left ahead of time and now I have to wait for the return transfer for an hour. Thus, by planning a visit, you will throw away about half a day that you could spend on more worthwhile attractions.

Maiden Tower Pier (Kız Kulesi) in Istanbul is one of the most romantic and picturesque places in the city. Located on a small island in the Sea of Marmara, the tower has a rich history and many legends, which makes it especially attractive for tourists. One of the main advantages of this place is the stunning view of Istanbul and its famous landmarks such as St. Sophia Cathedral and the Blue Mosque. A walk to the pier and the tower itself allows you to enjoy magnificent panoramas, especially during sunset, when the city is shrouded in soft light. Inside the Maiden Tower there is a cafe and a restaurant where you can taste local dishes and enjoy the atmosphere. Many visitors note that this is a great place for a romantic dinner or just to relax with a cup of coffee. However, it is worth considering that due to the popularity of this place, it can be quite crowded, especially during the tourist season. It is recommended to plan your visit in advance and, possibly, book a table in a restaurant. In general, the Maiden Tower Pier is a must—stop for anyone visiting Istanbul. This place combines the beauty of nature, historical significance and an atmosphere of romance, which makes it ideal for unforgettable moments!

It is easy to get from Kabatash to Uskyudar by ferry, then a 20-minute walk from the Uskyudar marina to the tower along the embankment. Nice view and photo. There are many fishermen on the embankment opposite the tower, catching very small sardine-type fish. There are many cafes around with real non-tourist food.

I don't understand the general excitement, there's absolutely nothing to see here. Climb the Galata tower and look through binoculars here-get +- all the sensations. It's not convenient to get there, ferries run at certain intervals here, you can't leave after 5 minutes after you've looked at everything inside-wait half an hour or even an hour until the ferry returns. There are a million places in Istanbul that are better to visit, I do not recommend the maiden tower.
