A wonderful gallery and a guide is a young girl, she told me very interestingly. It is so rare when a person loves what he is doing. I want to wish her great success and good luck!! Unfortunately, I didn't remember the name.

A collection of art objects worthy of a great country. What wonderful artists were born, lived and worked in Belarus! They sang her praises and glorified her all over the world! And the country is proud of its heritage! This puts the Republican museum on a par with the most famous museums in the world!

A trip to Minsk is simply impossible without visiting an Art Museum. A comfortable space for calm contemplation of the works of famous masters. One hall is completely dedicated to the works of Zhukovsky S.Yu., but the works of a young graduate of the art Academy Anna Sadovskaya are also presented. There are places to relax, to rest with renewed vigor to go and enjoy creativity in its various manifestations.

A good collection of Russian art. Exhibitions and musical events are held regularly. There is a preferential visit. The old building sooooo needs a good repair, in summer it is stuffy to the point of fainting, there is practically no ventilation.

The first time we were in Minsk, we naturally decided to visit the gallery. The museum was half empty, we looked at the entire exhibition and then decided to take pictures in the hallway (second floor at the railing). The caretaker was walking around very obsessively, getting into every frame to ruin the photo, commenting. Then the second one came up and said that according to some internal rules, you can only take 1-2 photos as a keepsake, and the rest is only for money. In response, I asked how a frame can be successfully shot with 1-2 attempts? The hallway was empty, we weren't bothering anyone, we were wearing ordinary clothes, and we were taking pictures on our phones. The booth at the cash register states that a non-commercial personal photo shoot is paid for, like a wedding, but nothing is said about the "1-2 photos maximum as a keepsake" rule. This is a very strange and unpleasant situation. I've never come across anything like this in my entire life, to be forbidden to take pictures in a museum.
Such pettiness and bullying are repulsive, leaving a very unpleasant impression.

A new building has opened in the museum!
Great!!! Exhibition areas have been added! There are about 9 temporary exhibitions in the museum now. Moreover, everyone is interesting. The museum has been transformed. It is modern, creative, and I am glad that a lot is on display from the museum's storerooms.
I will note Russian artists, these are Vasnetsov, Surikov, Korovin, Arkhipov, and Yuon... Great! Thanks!
Valentina Shoba's Christmas graphics, a Chinese exhibition, and creative figurines by Vasyukov artists are pleasing.
The permanent exhibition is always waiting for us!
Many expositions lack the Russian language!!!

In general, it's not bad, I liked the collection "Repin and the disciples", but there is little information about the art of Belarus, at least at the permanent exhibition. The museum staff could have been more polite, and also not to discuss each other in front of visitors.

A very pleasant place. I think that Minsk is a must for tourists to visit.
After visiting the main halls with collections of classical artists, do not forget about the new museum space with a collection of the 20th century.
I recommend at least 2-3 hours for examination.

A magnificent museum!
Every year it expands the exposition!
The right balance between sculpture and paintings
There are many special exhibitions.
It's very comfortable inside!
Take a guide and you won't regret it
Of the minuses, there is a small historical bias towards Poland! But I think it's temporary.

A museum with a solid art collection. There was not enough navigation and audio guides (there are, but very few), the logic of the exposition is not obvious, but in general it is interesting and there is something to see.
By the way, an interesting exhibition of traditional Belarusian costume is being held here until December 11. A wide variety of traditional Belarusian weaving is presented, as well as samples of traditional knitted graphics. Fascinating:)

A large, beautiful building in the center of Minsk. The largest museum in the republic! The expectations of the opportunity to see the cultural component of such a hospitable and welcoming country are fascinating. However, reality does not always meet our expectations.
The boorish cashier seemed to be an accidental exception until the moment of entering the exposition, where the employee checking the tickets chatted incessantly on her mobile phone. I was very surprised at the remark, but I didn't stop. We had to choose where to start and figure out where everything is. There are no available schemes. Where to get an audio guide and whether it exists at all is unclear. Interactive of any kind. The light in the halls of Russian painting, which is a good half of the museum, is disgusting or simply was not fully turned on.
Overall, the exposition is not bad. There is a little bit of everything. We wanted to see Chagall, but we didn't find him. Either not, or see the beginning of the review. In such places, it has long been necessary to introduce electronic tickets and turnstiles. People will have more time to talk on the phone.

Are you looking for a place to take cool photos? Then this place is for you. Magnificent white staircase, incredibly beautiful halls. And most importantly, the masterpieces of world art. Here you will see the famous painting "Unequal Marriage", and incredible paintings by Aivazovsky, and many other paintings by both famous and unknown artists.
For fans of Asian culture, there is also a hall with exhibits. Unfortunately, it is not so big, however, it will be possible to experience the history and culture of these countries.

I expected a little more from the metropolitan museum, but in general it is interesting and informative. There are some inexplicable gadgets. Do I need to save and present the receipt at the entrance along with the tickets?!? Are there just not enough tickets and they are not allowed to use them???? If you left the receipt in your outerwear and put it in the wardrobe, go back and look for it. Meaning?
They are already running on the phone screen everywhere, but here you need a cash receipt. Nonsense

The permanent exhibition of Russian painting is definitely worth a visit to the museum. I also liked the temporary exhibitions.
I didn't like the lack of a map, structure, hints, where and what to watch. It resembles a quest: passing through the hall, it is not known what lies ahead: either a passage to the next hall (and then you realize that you have not looked at the second side yet), or a dead end and you have to go back (and you could not run from one wall to another).
Well, the hall of modern art or I don't know what to call this hall because everything is in a heap there, and modern, and icons, and a Japanese kimono of 1980 (I didn't understand what value it had because there was no information), and paintings of the Soviet era. It was difficult for me to perceive the icons of the 17th century next to the painting of an unknown artist of the 19th century. Perhaps if I had immediately understood what was waiting for me, the impression would have been different.
