I've been to Hurghada 8 times, I've been to different hotels, and I've been to a hotel in the same chain twice with my child. We liked the Grand Hotel, we want to come back here! I will try to tell you about the hotel objectively and in detail :) the location is 10 minutes from the airport, planes do not fly over the hotel, but it is close to go. The hotel is part of the network, there are two more hotels nearby (5* nearby and 4* across the street) The whole complex is a big oriental fairy tale, everything is illuminated in the evening, there is a place to walk, there are many shops and pharmacies nearby. We visited the Mango supermarket (near the mosque), a large selection of goodies at reasonable prices About the hotel: the facade of the building, of course, is already in need of repair, but, in general, it is not critical - there is such beauty around that we did not consider the walls of the building particularly :))) the lobby is beautiful, spacious, with new furniture. In the evenings, a musician plays the piano, very atmospheric and soulful. The rooms are different. The standards have not been renovated, superrior and higher are quite normal rooms. Yes, they're not fancy, the furniture is old. But they match their price category. We changed the number twice. The first room was near the beach, renovated, very decent, on the 1st floor. But, as the renovation continued on the 2nd floor, there was a smell of paint. The second room was near the main building, next to the animation tent, it was noisy at night. But the third room was quite comfortable for us, it was quiet and comfortable behind the playground. There are many buildings, you can immediately voice your wishes upon check-in. We didn't have a kettle or anything in our room, but someone did. It didn't bother me, I went to a restaurant in the morning to drink coffee. The water was replenished regularly. But the bed linen is sad, it's time to change it. And towels too. In the hotel of the same chain, where we used to rest, there is also a problem with textiles. But, again, not critical. The laundry was washed, ironed, and we had it changed once in a week, so everything is OK. The territory is gorgeous!!!!! It's big, green, blooming, and comfortable. Lots of benches, a whole alley of hammocks, there is a swing - just great!!!! Food is great! There are several restaurants - the main one is in the building on the 1st floor - there are breakfasts, lunches and dinners. The terrace near the building is "Arabesque" - there are breakfasts and dinners. There's a grill and a veranda. It's just a thrill to have breakfast in the morning sun or have dinner with a glass of wine under the aroma of barbecue..... There are two restaurant verandas on the beach. In the large veranda you can choose a burger, hot dog, mini pizza + French fries. Salads, hot dogs, sandwiches, French fries are served on the small veranda. There is an Italian restaurant in the main building on the 2nd floor. The choice is not very big - a couple of salads, soups, pasta, desserts. But everything is sooo delicious and atmospheric! And there are very few people here :))) Everything that I have listed is in the ALL system. The drinks are brought by the waiters. Wine in glasses. The wine, by the way, is very tasty. For coffee lovers, there is a coffee machine!!! The juices are good too. Bottled cold water is available on the beach, you can get it in bars without restrictions. Ice cream from 15 to 17 by the pool, delicious. There are also waffles or pancakes. The food is good! There is a choice, everything is delicious and fresh!!!! The beach is beautiful!!!! Wide, gentle approach to the sea. The depth is excellent up to the buoys. I swam along the buoys to my heart's content :)))). There were plenty of sun beds for everyone and always. Yes, they are old, but they are quite strong. A beach boy can help to install, move, or move a screen from the wind. The pool is not heated, but we hardly used it. The sun beds by the pool were free. There is always a Russian-speaking employee in the lobby, Evgeny Valentinovich, who always advises, prompts, and helps. Inessa, the hotel guide, is just a smart girl! For the first time in many vacations, I met such a professional guide at the hotel! He does not impose services, but prompts, helps, as a good and hospitable friend! Thanks a lot to their wonderful tandem!!!! Regarding the baksheesh, they gave 10 dollars upon check-in, the bald manager just begged for "ladies, he says, the room is good, very good!" :))) Well, really, the room was good :) It's your right and your business here, both about tips and bribes. We were happy to tip our employees a dollar each. They smiled at us, they communicated with us very kindly and hospitably! For whom this hotel will be good - for those who want a relaxing and comfortable stay in the "relax" format for an adequate price. And there are a lot of cats here for cat lovers, they are cool, clean and sociable :)))) For whom it is not suitable - for lovers of activities (there is animation, but it is sooo restrained - during the day on the beach, in the evening in a tent), for perfectionists who have fundamentally new bedding :))) well, and for those who categorically do not like foreigners. The hotel is German, the main contingent is German pensioners. There are a number of services for an additional fee - some items on the menu, a range of drinks, a sports bar.... Just ask in advance if you have any doubts. We took two excursions - to the grad aquarium and the dolphinarium. We took a hotel guide, it's more convenient for us. The child liked both there and there. I liked the dolphinarium better. We are very happy with our vacation! We will be happy to return to the hotel and I will also recommend it to tourists. If you want a more comfortable stay, there is a hotel of the same 5*, 18+ chain nearby, but already more expensive.... We went for a positive, we got it! See you later, Grand Hotel!!!!

The disadvantage is that the towels are only in one place by the pool. There are enough sun beds for everyone. But not every sunbed's protective screens. When it's sunny and windy, if you don't come early and take a towel, then don't count on it. On the beach you can use the bar from 10-17 lemonade, beer, local alcohol and tea coffee with biscuits. The toilet for the entire beach is only at the bar, so there are queues.the beach is sandy. But I didn't really like the bay.There is a boat parking behind the buoys, which make noise like from a helicopter, and garbage periodically from these boats along the shore. Accordingly, the oil film on the water. And if the wind is from the sea, then you will enjoy the smell of painters on the sun beds.The rooms are old, so it's difficult to close the front door without a bang. The furniture doesn't seem to creak yet. The sound insulation is acceptable, or we were lucky with the neighbors.We sometimes heard how the table was moved or people went to the balcony. The hot water never failed. We cleaned every day. It suited us. But there's some kind of trouble with towels. Dirty ones are taken away, but new ones are given closer to 16.According to the nutrition of the main two restaurants, the food seems to be standard, but it is well prepared and quite tasty. The main one near the lobby is large but noisy, and you can also have lunch outside. there are mostly smokers there. There is also a smaller restaurant behind the pools, with child-free admission. The atmosphere in it is calmer and quieter. Alcoholic beverages in both restaurants are served only through waiters. Accordingly, they are easier to catch in a small one and they are more friendly. There is less food in the small one, but they are monitoring the replenishment. And it's lying more and more neatly. But you can get crabs, shrimps, and squid in it. Even the strawberries in it are maroon and more delicious. By the way, the white wine in it also seems to be different, or just cooler) the hotel staff is friendly.Russian is poorly spoken because it is intended for Europeans.
