I won't explain these three masterpieces called: Ulug Beg Mmadrasa Sherdor Madrasa Tilla Qori Medrasa One by one. But this square is home to one of the mightiest monument's in the world. Like in giza where famous pyramids are, you feel yourself tiny pice of the universe. All these monument's are must visit attraction and some of the most famous ones in the world. There are visual light shows at nights when the sun sets do not miss it.

An amazing and fascinating piece of art, the first university in Central Asia. One can notice the Islamic architectural influence. It reminds me of Al-Hambra palace in Spain. Words can't do it justice, it should be on everyone's bucket list. I'm one of the lucky ones who had been here for five times. Please don't litter 🚯. Use recycling bins 🚮, let's keep Samarkand clean and green.

Oh my god this was truly the most beautiful place i have ever visited. the buildings are so huge, i could not comprehend that these huge things were built like 700 years ago! its not really crowded which is good. we saw the light show that started at 9:00Pm. amazing show. lasted like 25ish minutes. However i should add that you should maybe do a little bit research about the square before you visit. Unfortunately theres not much information about them inside.

посетила Самарканд неделю назад. площадь Регистан - то, с чего необходимо начинать и чем стоит заканчивать, это суть Самарканда, да и вообще - всего государства, нации, этноса. вроде бы три масштабных арки с минаретами, покрытых майоликой, а вот именно внешняя простота линий и неимоверная изощренность узоров завораживают, на медресе Улугбека, Шердор и Тилли-Каре смотреть можно и днем и ночью. билет внутрь на посещение медресе и экспозиций абсолютно доступен всем, кто соберется в Самарканд, посещение по времени внутри не ограничено (я была порядка трех часов и могла бы и дольше!), в каждом из медресе - свои экспозиции, в Шердоре - краткое изложение восстановления комплекса, в середине 20 века, фотогалерея видов Регистана, ростовые экспонаты дервишей, примеры национальных вариантов одежды; Тилль-Каре - золото с золотом; медресе Улугбека - самое ученое, тк построено в честь внука-астронома Тамерлана; внутри каждого медресе - дворики, где можно посидеть, обсудить увиденное; магазинчики сувениров, есть даже мастерские с вариантами керамики и прочего. особое очарование - придти на Регистан поздним вечером, взять кофе или мороженое тут же, в кафе "Согдиана", сесть на плоские гладкие ступени и смотреть на темные порталы и нежно сумрачно голубой купол. в некоторые вечера прямо на медресе транслируют лазерное шоу, очень впечатляющий перфоманс

Registan is the place why so many of us foreigners come to Uzbekistan. This is a unique cultural and religious monument. Make sure to get your guide. Right after you purchase and enter the complex, on your right there will be a booth where you can get a guide. A tip would be to test their english. Because some guides speak great english, while others struggle which makes the whole experience unbearable. Also try to visit early in the morning when there are few people. In the evenings the lighting of the complex is majestic and one should certainly get back to see that in the evening. The parking lot is right across the complex.

The historical sites were good to look at. There was nothing else much! Samarkand was a disappointment, all it had was a few madarsah and mausoleums and mosques! I know one should not expect more, but i personally love places where nature at the least is awe inspiring!

Красивейший комплекс. Мозайка, архитектура. Уютные дворы. Вечером попали на лазерное музыкальное шоу. После эффектно показали историю создания и развития Узбекистана. 10 из 10. Обязательно дождитесь вечернее представление. Они проходят с перерывом в 15 минут.

The right building is not at the same height as the one on the left (the one on the right is two meters higher). The minarets are leaning, like a copycat of the Pisa tower. C'est mal fait....
