It is a gorgeous place, partially located in a mountain, with a beautiful view of the sea. And the most shocking impression for me was left by an aquarium with sturgeons for 1 million liters, a glass floor in which huge fish swim.
The cuisine is decent and varied.
The rooms are spacious, the staff is friendly and friendly.
In general, if I go back to Aktau, then only there!

Well, what can I say. I wasn't impressed this time. It was better 2 years ago. Now the price tag of the hotel has gone up 2 times, and the breakfasts have become much worse. There is no variety: only porridge and 4 different dishes and standard desserts, vegetables, eggs. There is no basic assorted fish and fruits. In general, it is sparse. It doesn't pull at 5 stars at all. The rooms are clean, the view is not bad.

Check your luggage carefully upon arrival home, there are cockroaches in the rooms. The staff is polite, but the hotel does not meet the stated stars, 3 stars maximum, no more, noisy ventilation in the rooms, loud advertising in the elevators, the restaurant is mediocre, but with the prices of a 5-star hotel.
Accessories (shampoo, conditioner, soap) are of very poor quality, I had to buy normal ones in the store.

Great hotel! We read a lot of contradictory reviews before the trip, but now we have our own opinion: very good breakfasts,comfortable pool water, towels and bathrobes are provided, the view from the room is gorgeous, everything is in the room, hygiene supplies are updated every day , the staff is very attentive and polite, downstairs in the restaurant it's great to drink coffee with a view of the Kaspiy, if we go to Aktau again, we will definitely choose this hotel

I did not like the room service for all the time that we were in the hotel, we once vacuumed the carpet, not to mention washing the floors, the pool is generally uncomfortable without sides, it is inconvenient for children to swim and there is no lifeguard in the pool. For some reason, the sauna and hammam are paid, although the hotel is five stars. Breakfasts are generally a poor choice as in three-star hotels and everywhere is dirty. The aquarium was generally closed for repairs, although there was no repair there, stupidly closed. The floor was being renovated, they didn't even cover it with screens, it was dusty. And how such a hotel was awarded five stars is not clear.

The breakfast is human, there are a lot of vegetables, there is something to choose from. Anything that is more complicated and requires attention (rolls, fish), I would order at another institution.
Which was not very pleasant, the Internet in the room is very weak, and you can't plug in the cable anywhere. My husband needed to work. We asked to solve the problem, it became better to catch, but still, we worked with our fingers crossed.

I read a lot of reviews before the trip, I thought it would be really bad.
But no, it's okay.
The reception was checked in before the agreed time for 2 hours, they did not take the money.
The breakfasts are good. There are, of course, more abundant buffets, but this one is quite good. The only remark is that please service the coffee machine on time. And sometimes it didn't work because of the lack of water or milk :)
The rooms are spacious. We had a city view without a balcony. This is, of course, a minus. But I originally bought these.
They are cleaned regularly, all the necessary things (shampoo, towels, soap, etc.) are replaced and reported regularly too.
Excellent location - close to the center, exactly two steps to the sea. However, there is not much to do in the center, and the sea is cold and the entrance to it is difficult - but this is not the problem of the hotel. The rest of the comparable facilities (Holiday and Renaissance) are located worse, and Rixos is generally out of town.
We haven't tried the hotel restaurant and the bar upstairs, I can't say anything here.
We lived for 8 nights.
