I would recommend this place for sure. It’s located near Ibis City hotel. The food was delicious, the atmosphere is amazing. We had kutab and Shah salad, homemade wine and meat. Also the 5 star review would be impossible without our waiter Zamiq. He was the best waiter I’ve met in Baku.

We were a family in this restaurant.The location of the restaurant is not in the center. The prices are neither high nor low.The menu includes dishes of national cuisine.The musician performs masterpieces of world music on a national instrument.I would like to mention the owner of the restaurant, who met us, recommended delicious dishes and drinks, and then gave us an interesting tour of the restaurant about the reign of the Shah.(even the guide didn't tell us that much), he gave us heartfelt stories, this man knew the answer to all the questions and recommended a lot to us.This should be the owner of the restaurant!!!!!I send greetings to the whole of Azerbaijan through this person.I will recommend your establishment to everyone!!!!!

We decided to have dinner at a national cuisine restaurant on my birthday, since we arrived in Baku. We chose the restaurant based on reviews. I must say that the kitchen here is normal. The food is no frills, but everything is delicious. The prices are average, not overpriced, as in the tourist area. Personally, I didn't particularly like the atmosphere, it was uncomfortable. And despite the large bill and the mention of the holiday, there was no compliment or congratulations from the restaurant. It's a small thing for a restaurant, but it's nice for a guest.

Great restaurant, delicious food, live music, attentive staff, always help with the choice and will tell you. We are very satisfied. The prices are very attractive. And most importantly, this restaurant is not a tourist attraction, but a place to relax. There were 3 times. Kutabs with chestnut are bombishly delicious. The most delicious is lamb lula, lamb medallions, grilled salad. The veal roll must be served with red wine. In combination with wine, the dish opens up.

The Shah restaurant has left the most pleasant impressions! I liked it the most during our whole vacation. Special thanks to the waiter Zamik. He is an incredibly friendly, kind, attentive and truly caring person. Thanks to such employees, the impression of the restaurant becomes even better. The service is excellent! The cuisine is very tasty, everything is prepared with a soul, I liked every dish. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy and warm, a place where you want to return.

My family and I had breakfast at the Shah Restaurant & Gallery in Baku — and it became one of the most vivid impressions of our trip! The place is amazing: from the very first steps you immerse yourself in the atmosphere of an oriental fairy tale. The interior is decorated in traditional Azerbaijani style, and the walls are decorated with paintings dedicated to Shah Ismail Khatai, an outstanding historical figure and cultural symbol of the country. It was especially pleasant that the manager of the restaurant, Rufat, personally conducted a tour of the hall for us and told us interesting facts about the subjects on the canvases — this gave the breakfast a special "zest". The cuisine was excellent: the dishes were delicious, hearty and beautifully served. I would like to mention Rufat's attention separately: when I wanted to order an additional dish, he advised me to wait. As it turned out, he was absolutely right — the food was so generous that an extra dish would have been superfluous. An honest and caring approach to the guests is worth a lot! And finally, a pleasant surprise: we were given a photo shoot in burkas and papakhas. It turned out to be wonderful keepsake photos, full of color and Azerbaijani spirit. Thanks to the entire Shah Restaurant & Gallery team for the atmosphere, taste and warmth!

I wanted to try some fish dish in Baku. I chose a fish cutlet, which for some reason was stuffed with finely chopped walnuts for absolutely no reason. And the most important thing was that the cutlet didn't smell like fish at all. It's so interesting what it's made of. I managed to choose this particular incomprehensible dish, because the children ordered another meal and said it was delicious. One more small thing, but unpleasant: the lemonade that was brought to us was made from a diluted sachet of disgusting taste and we had to order water. So my advice is to be more picky about your food choices.

An atmospheric place with excellent cuisine! The restaurant tour from manager Rufat exceeded all expectations. I love places where there is a sense of creation and historical cuisine! I recommend it to everyone who wants to have a delicious meal, enjoy the gorgeous local tinctures and the famous Shah pilaf! I especially want to mention the red sauce Ezme, which we eventually ordered as many as 3 times :) We will definitely come back again!

A picturesque place! Prices are acceptable: per person: a cradle with chicken+2 kutaba + soup + tea with thyme = 1500r. I'm full. The place is very suitable for exploring the National cuisine! If you are lucky and get to the manager of Rufat, you will have a fascinating tour from the Ancient Azerbaijani kingdom to the present day! I was as interested as possible! I recommend a place! ♡

We've read the reviews, we've booked. We arrived on Friday evening at a completely empty restaurant. There are 2 pillars occupied besides us . The atmosphere is not cozy. The food is generally tasteless . We ordered kutabs (they brought them as if warmed up), shish kebab, lula kebab, salad with tomatoes and cherries. The salad is passable. The rest is not delicious . The price tag is high. They also took a 10% commission for the service, which is not mentioned anywhere. Extremely disappointed. Don't see each other for reviews

We stopped by this restaurant at the end of December 24. Some of the staff speaks Russian, and they bring a Russian-language menu. We were very satisfied with the dinner! They bring ready-made food quickly enough (there were few people in the restaurant), and the bill for two is about 40-45 manats without alcohol. I liked it so much that we returned 2 more times, and were never disappointed!

Quick pick-up, the staff is polite. However, the portions are small (especially compared to most of the establishments in Baku) The food wasn't all that delicious, the kutab with cheese was very salty, the tinctures were too alcoholic, and some of them were impossible to drink. The meat is delicious, but again, the portions are very small. Lemonade is just water with lots of syrup.

I love this place, it pleases with a large selection of local dishes at very affordable prices. By the way, a pleasant surprise: now you can pay in rubles in Azerbaijan. I really got the QR code from the m10 — without any exchangers, I just scanned it, and the payment went through the Savings Bank. It is very convenient when you need to buy something urgently, but there are no manats or cash at hand.

Excellent restaurant, courteous service, and since there were no visitors, the owner himself came to say hello, found out how things were going, and wished them a happy new year. A very large menu, various local dishes, fresh products. The food is delicious. Clean bathrooms, not in the very tour center of the city, but it's easy to get there, not far from the marriott where we lived. My husband and I visited the magnificent Shah (Sah) restaurant today, and we were surprised by the pleasant atmosphere, sustained in Oriental traditions, incredibly polite and very pleasant service.
