We often travel around the Republic of Belarus. When planning the route, based on the recommendation, a short stop was planned at the Czeslaw Nemen Museum in Starye Vasilishki. What can I see in a small hut and how much time can I spend there? We arrived.. and... hung for 2.5 hours.. We could probably have been there until the evening.. There is excellent parking in front of the museum for several cars with a memorial stone. We were greeted by an extraordinary, in love with his work, a MAN with a capital letter, Vladimir Senyuta, a director and an interesting storyteller, collector, ethnographer and intellectual! We listened to music and a fascinating story -conversation in the Belarusian language -smooth, light, and fast. Everyone, including the children, sat spellbound... We got into the atmosphere, music, delicious apple chips, sandwiches with salsa and garlic.We touched the warmth of the furnace of the native home of the unique man Czeslaw Nieman. Even the instrument our children played sounded extraordinary, surrounded by records, photographs, and other artifacts collected in the museum. I RECOMMEND you to visit and view this museum. They will touch the creativity and life path of our greatest compatriot.

It's a nice museum, cozy for small groups to visit (50 people at a time would definitely be too much). There are many photos, drawings of Czeslaw, and a piano (by the way, the director of the museum invited us to play it if anyone could, I was not ashamed, for which I received as a gift a set of postcards with portraits of Czeslaw, an image of the church, the house of Czeslaw, etc.). The director himself talks about Czeslaw Nemen and is quite interesting. Moreover, he talks in Belarusian (and a little bit in Polish). We really enjoyed it! The cost of a visit is 10 rubles per person (as of 08/24/2025).

I didn't know who Czeslaw Nieman was, but the museum curator's story was incredibly fascinating. It's worth traveling here for at least 2-3 hours if you like fascinating stories and good storytellers. Vladimir literally infects with his enthusiasm
