The exposition caused an unpleasant feeling — some of the materials were presented, in my opinion, with a dubious message. I do not share the views expressed by the museum, so I do not recommend visiting.

Medieval castle, small. Nothing compared to Ivangorod!! That's where the greatness and power are!💪😁 You especially realize this when you stand in the middle between them. But the castle is well worth a visit, inside there is a museum, quite interesting, but a little empty. You can climb the tower, from where you can enjoy a beautiful view of Narva and Ivangorod!

Narva Castle, or Hermann's Castle, was founded in 1256 by the Danes as a wooden fortification. At the beginning of the 14th century, the castle was rebuilt from stone, the first mention of the stone fortress dates back to 1329. In 1346, the castle was sold to the Livonian Order, which significantly expanded it and built the 51-meter Tall Hermann tower. Over the centuries, Narva Castle came under the rule of the Swedes, then Russia, and in the 20th century it suffered destruction in the Second World War. After 1947, restoration began, with major work taking place in the 1950s and 1980s. In 2020, a major reconstruction of the east wing, where the museum and exhibitions are now located, was completed. Today, the castle is open to visitors, open from 10:00 to 18:00, entrance is paid. In one of the episodes ("Brotherhood in Arms") of the sixth season of "Killing Force", filming took place in Narva, including at the castle. The main character, Plakhov— arrives there in connection with a murder investigation related to this city. Porechenkov's hero is traveling with him, with whom Khabensky had already served at the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater by that time. The famous Estonian actor Kirill Kyaro played a small role.

Narva Castle on the banks of the Narva River, overlooking the Ivangorod Fortress, is worth a visit.

The Soul Museum. You can climb a high tower and look at Ivangorod and Narva from above, simultaneously examining the exhibits (there are few of them, but there are interesting ones). And there is a bit of medieval life in the courtyard - a blacksmith shop, shops, bonfires with tea. It was fun for the kids too.

cleanly, the fortress itself is generally empty, Herman's castle is more interesting, the tower is the most interesting there, there are few expositions, but there is a feeling that you are in a medieval castle. 15 tiers, in March - April 2020, they promise to open two wings from the exposition, but they will not be in time. the ticket costs 8 euros for adults, schoolchildren give a coin for free to the ticket, which can be exchanged for small souvenirs in the courtyard of the castle. There are no problems with the language, everyone speaks Russian.

A wonderful museum! I visited there with great pleasure, there are a lot of interesting things! When you climb up a narrow ladder to the very top, you feel like a medieval knight, and when you walk along a wooden gallery, the boards of which creak under your feet, and the ground is visible in the cracks, somewhere very far away, it generally takes your breath away!

A large-scale reconstruction is underway on the territory and in the castle. Half of the castle is closed. But the open one is empty except for two floors. There are clearly not enough exhibits.

A historical place. It's like the Middle Ages. It is good that it has been preserved, the masonry and cobblestones are impressive.

It's a pity we didn't get there. But I'm sure it's cool and there's something to see. And on the other hand, it is sometimes very interesting to look at Mother Russia.
